Had an excellent stay in the larger room with two double beds. Enjoyed the great coffee from the cafe in the lobby in the morning and the pool + hottub in the evenings.

We waited in the hotel bar for over two hours after the check in time for a text, which never came. We got back in line to get our assigned room. It was very small with a view of gravel and a wall. On the second day the mini bar wasn't re stocked and the towels weren't changed. The shower didn't work properly and there was hair (not mine) in the bed. I understand that downtown Montreal is expensive. But $600 a night deserves more than what was offered.
The room smelled like dirty feet, no face clothes, no where to eat that was not expensive: the Market and coffee shop closed at 6 pm; was directed to the food court below but everything was closed. There was a charge for wifi - have never been charged for a service that is complimentary in every other hotel chain in Canada. After driving 7 1/2 hours from Fredericton NB, we didn't contact the front desk from sheer exhaustion. I was returning home from Nova Scotia after taking my husband's ashes home. We had stayed at The Queen Elizabeth 3 years ago - had an amazing weekend; this was far from that experience, very upsetting.
It was horrible. It started with a late check in after waiting in a huge line where only two people were working check in. We were given our room after 4pm when we asked for an early check in. Then one night I called for towels no one brought. I called the second day they said they can see if they can provide two as the machine was broken. Then the wifi was not working when I called I was told it was doing a re boot. When I checked out the attendant asked how was your stay. I said not that good. Her response was have a good evening. Why ask that question if you will not address the situation. The air conditioning in the room was leaking so there was a huge part on the carpet that was soaking wet. The shower door doesn’t fully close so the water creates a small flood on the bathroom floor. This was wayyyyy less then a luxury Fairmount experience. I have reservations in Toronto this month. I am debating cancelling as the service for the price is not worth it.

Check in was pleasurable. The room was perfect. Very clean and organized. Ample towels and the view of the cathedral was amazing
Unpleasant checkout experience. I had to revisit the front desk 3 times to straighten my invoice, which I specifically told the front desk the coverage that I have with AMEX “my hotel collection” at the time of checking out.
Everything about your physical facility is absolutely lovely. The staff is uniformly polite and cheerful. The boutiques shops and cafes on your main level are just right. My only complaint, although it was big to me, was the fact that you're internet service dropped out several times per day. I called the front desk about this several times I was told that it tends to do that but we'll be back in 20 minutes or so. Because I was in Montreal on business it really interrupted my workflow and cost me a lot of stress. I did have a conversation with the hotel manager and again with someone when I checked out so I feel as if my complaint is well documented and I was given a slight reduction on my bill.
We stayed in a gold room and received added benefits through my Amex card. Every staff member we interacted with was incredibly lovely, amenities in both the room and the lounge were incredible, and the location being directly beside the train station was the cherry on top. Did not find a single thing wrong with any aspect of our stay and can't wait to come back next summer for Just for Laughs.
