Everything was fine and staff was friendly. But, we didn’t have shower cap and bath robs in the room. As we didn’t ask for housekeeping to clean our room during our stay, I contacted room service to bring coffee, cream and tea to our room. (He was friendly and had a French France accent).. he asked me how many we needed and I told him 4-5 of each. When staff arrives at the room, he only had 3 coffees. He showed me the text message he had received from the room services receptionist, which said to only bring coffee. This surprised us very much… he brought us what we needed afterwards. Lastly, the bed was awful. We both got back aches by the end of our stay.
As a non-fluent French speaker, the customer service at the hotel was excellent. It was easy to navigate around the hotel, and we enjoyed the restaurants.
We changed rooms on the second day and left our luggages with valet. When we checked in we were told our luggages will be brought to our room but after 6 hours of waiting and callin several times the front desk we ended bringing the luggages to our room. The first room we had the toilet was cracked and there was yellow stains.

I brought my 94 year old sister on a road trip to the province of Quebec and since she likes to visit casinos and because I am a Fairmont member and love my stays with Fairmont I booked 3 nights at Fairmont Richelieu as the casino was right there. I also thought I would be able to drive in to Quebec City and back on the same day. When I arrived the casino was closed due to a strike and obviously the one day drive and the tour of Quebec City would have been too much for my 94 year old sister. I inquired if it was possible to shorten our stay and book in Quebec City and the team at Fairmont Richelieu went above and beyond in helping me assure that the trip was about my sister. I am so grateful that the management and team members were so accomadating in helping us. I know in these uncertain times of business ( I own and operate my own business) that it could have been easier to just say " SORRY you booked for three nights and unfortunately we can't change the reservation". They even tried to get us a room at the Chateau Frontenac which unfortunately was sold out. I would like to THANK the management team for making my sister's trip to Quebec a dream come true. It is refreshing to experience such amazing customer service. I am so happy that you have given your managers the freedom to make decisions and not just follow the RULES. I will always be a Fairmont customer and have been able to check off many of your great hotels on my bucket list. Once again, THANK YOU. Needless to say the amenities were short of spectacular and I have stayed at the Empress, Hotel Vancouver, Banff, and Chateau Frotenac to name a few. Loved the hospitality and the friendliness of this location. Frances S.

I called before I arrived to make sure I had a feather free room. When I arrived I again inquired about my room being feather free and was assured it was feather free. After one night in the room I was covered in hives and sick for the rest of my stay. Very disappointing. I told the staff what happened but no one seemed very interested

We stayed for a very special event. While it was noted with a card, nothing else was done. The server at the pool was extremely rude to me (English speaking) but very pleasant to my spouse (French speaking) only minutes later. The staff at the hotel were not overly friendly and seemed annoyed when asked questions. The overall feeling of the resort is too pretentious even for a Fairmont. It doesn’t matter what caliber of guests you are catering to, the staff should be polite AND friendly. Compared the the Queen Elizabeth and the Frontenac, this hotel is very much missing the mark here.
