Good: The room was spacious and the shower (no tub) was great. Decent views. Nice complimentary macarons for graduation, highly appreciated. Check in time is supposed to be 3pm but since we got to the hotel early we were able to leave our luggage with the bell service and explore the city while they get the room ready. We forgot to scan the QR code for a list of things available to us, but I think there were bikes we could’ve borrowed maybe? Customer service is very nice. Could be better: Lighting in the room is a bit annoying as each individual light needed to be turned off/on. The amenities were strange - there’s a kettle but no tea bags or mugs, there’s a coffee machine with no pods. Not sure if we were supposed to get them from somewhere? The snacks bar is pressure sensor activated so you automatically get charged for touching anything, even if you didn’t realize and just picked it up to look at it. The signage wasn’t very obvious. The bar fridge is packed full of mini alcohol bottles and drinks, and like the snack bar is fully automated. There’s also a $20 restocking fee if you clear the fridge out to put your own stuff in, which is ludicrous. I did not expect that from the Fairmont of all places. I suppose they don’t expect their clientele to need a bar fridge too store food. There is free wifi, but you have to ask for the wifi password. It might’ve been in the QR code but if you don’t have internet then you can’t read the QR code anyway. Overall: A nice place to splurge, and could be reasonably priced at the right times or sales. Make sure to read the fine print! If money is not an issue then it’s a great place to stay.

Stayin gon the Gold Floor inthe same room all the time is like our home away from home! Fernando and his GOlf Floor team are amazing: kind, caring and excellent service.
We enjoyed our stay at the Fairmont Waterfront and will for sure comeback in the future.

The experience started off not in the greatest way. We did the online check-in ahead of time and estimated that our arrival time would be 2:15 pm. We actually arrived earlier at 1:30, as we were coming in from the Fraser Valley. Upon checking in at the Front Desk, we were informed that the room was not quite ready, but we were checked in and received our room keys, and we would receive a text message when the room was ready. At 3:10 we went to the concierge to ask if she could find out the status of our room, to which she informed us that the room was ready, but it had not been "inspected" and it would be ready in about 10 minutes. We ended up having to call back again 15 minutes later and we were informed that the room was in fact ready for us. Once we arrived to the room, we found that the bell desk had not brought up any of our luggage, which meant we were worried about not being able to be ready for our dinner reservations. It was 15 minutes later when the bellman brought up our luggage and we did make it to dinner on time. While there was nothing in the room upon arrival, which I was disappointed about, someone did come to the room a while later to bring up some chocolate covered strawberries and a birthday card for my wife. This was nice, if not poorly timed. The other major negative we found, was the price for valet parking to be $75 per day is ridiculously over priced. We like to stay with Fairmont Hotels, but this is the kind of price gouging that makes me not want to return. The concierge Beckie did contact me by text the next day to see how we were enjoying the first night. Upon letting her know about the delay in checking in, she did offer to provide us with 2 free drink vouchers to use at Arc Restaurant, which we found to be a nice gesture. Overall for the most part, I was not impressed with this experience. I will definitely be thinking twice before I book at a Fairmont Hotel again in the future, especially Fairmont Waterfront.
We appreciated the opportunity to upgrade to the gold package. The views from our room were fantastic.

checked in as part of the PDC. Found the room a bit tired perhaps and missing a cover for the box (mattress was smaller than the platform)- a staffer explained that there was some ongoing bed changes happening in the hotel ie mattress sizes etc but it didn't look good, and not at $348/night. Housekeeping ended up folding a sheet over the box to camoflage.

I may me reaching but for a prestige hotel, I expected a bit more. I’m a local and booked the waterfront fairmont as it’s one of The top in the city but it really didn’t feel like it staying here. Upon arrival our room was changed to a queen bed when I had booked a King, however they changed it back when we asked why we were downgraded x we were then told an “anniversary” suite was made ready for us, expecting some sort of complimentary surprise as that’s what the “anniversary suite” entails. However, upon arrival to the room, it was just a regular room. I mean fair because that’s what I had booked, but why make it sound like we should express something? Usually beds are super comfy but the pillows were terrible, we tossed and turned all night. Woke up 3 hours before check out to ask if we can have a late check out due to not getting any sleep all night and we were given an extra 30 mins. I guess most of these annoyances were from my expectations and we simply got what we had booked but you’d think staying at the fairmont would feel a bit more luxuries than it did. Overall stay was satisfactory, I guess I expected it to exceed my expectations just a little.
