ROB ELLER

Rob Eller is a one-man cover band, crooning everything from Dave Mathews to Stephenwolf. Although the tunes are at once identifiable, Eller adds his own unique timbre to every note…and that’s where the magic lies! Rob uses a looping station to produce, ‘live onstage,’ all rhythm guitars, percussion and harmony vocals. Thus, he fills up the room with the sound of a full band, while paying attention to musical dynamics, continually finding new ways to express a song.

DES LARSON

Des Larson is a highly skilled guitarist with a natural showmanship that engages any audience, combining small town charm with an energetic and polished urban appeal. Larson creates an instant groove that combines a reggae beat energy with the lyrical style of songwriters like Jack Johnson.

The folky melodies and honest lyrics mixed with breathy yet strong vocals captivate audiences from the vibrant young to the charming old.

CASSANDRA BANGEL

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a song is worth a million.  A soulful songwriter and multi-faceted performer, Cassandra Bangel has come into her own through the act of writing, playing, and sharing her music. Bangel was influenced by the sounds of blues and rock before taking her earliest musical steps on classical piano at the age of 7.  As she became equally gifted on piano, guitar, and ukulele, Bangel came to realize that her greatest musical instrument was her voice and began playing at local festivals, starting with the 2009 Beanstalk Folk Festival and 2010 Golden Spike Days.

NEAL RYAN

Neal Ryan is a singer-songwriter. Although born in Ireland, his life and heart are woven into the fabric of Vancouver, Canada. Neal comes from an intensely musical family all signs pointed to music as a career and lifelong pursuit.  Having gained professional experience and recognition early on in life as a boy soprano, Neal won many accolades in singing competitions in Ireland; building a very solid foundation for what is now amongst the strongest and most pure voices you are likely to hear in the current music scene.  In his late teens, Neal picked up the guitar and discovered a new passion.

DAVE PATERSON

For the past twenty years Dave Paterson has been a distinctive performer on the west coast scene in both acoustic and electric blues. As a solo act Dave re-interprets the country blues and country masters on vintage guitars while accompanying himself on harmonica. With a repertoire that ranges from Robert Johnson and Jimmy Reed on through to Hank Williams listeners are taken down the country roads and railway lines of the 30’s, 40’s & 50’s.

DAVID CAPPER

David Capper is a Vancouver based singer/songwriter and entertainer that has been performing professional for over a decade. Coming from a diverse musical background, David has played in genres as varied as jazz, country, musical theatre and folk. Working in commercial music production has enabled him to become a complete and well rounded performer.

JEFF BRYANT

Jeff has been performing music in one form or another for the last 20 years. After several years playing music in Toronto with his original band, The Human Statues, Jeff returned to Vancouver to pursue new opportunities in music, theatre and voice over. Jeff was a featured performer in the critically acclaimed productions of Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story, staged by the Arts Club Theatre Company. Additionally, Jeff has been singing at weddings and corporate events as a proud member of the award winning band, Side One, since 2011.

CARMINA BOLINAO
Performing July 13
Carmina is an independent singer-songwriter based out of Vancouver, British Columbia. A recent graduate of Selkirk College's Music and Technology program, she is known for her soft, understated voice and stripped-downed acoustic covers. Carmina brings forth a soulful, self-aware set of music. Pulling from influences such as Lianne La Havas, Leon Bridges and Corinne Bailey Rae, she puts on a show that is relaxed and genuine. Her soft melodies dance together with a natural groove.

OLAF DE SHIELD
Performing July 17
Olaf is an established musician residing in Vancouver. His main musical bags are Soul, Rhythm & Blues, Jazz, and Blues. He is an accomplished guitarist, vocalist, and arranger,  and has played and recorded with a host of regional and international artists over the years.

MICHELLE JOLY
Performing July 19 | 26
In a musical generation characterized by cookie-cutter pop acts, Michelle Joly’s impeccable vocal stylings and musicianship do more than stand out. They reveal qualities that cannot be engineered in the studio.Michelle has had a solid music career for the last 10 years performing, collaborating and releasing original music, as well as teaching guitar, piano and voice. She has opened for Canadian bands such as Belle Plain, The Sheepdogs and Whitehorse and won several awards and for her music including Best Jazz Song for “Wind Me Up” in 2015 and Best Folk Album for her second record “Cold Home” in 2014.

CORY CURTIS
Performing July 20
Cory is a performance professional having toured with world with original artists for a decade as well as being a founding member of the Vancouver cover band SideOne. He has a wide range of contemporary as well as classic songs and a very unique voice; not your average acoustic guitar performer.

Grace Sherman
Performing July 28
Ever since she was young, Grace Sherman has been in love with the English language. As a child growing up in Vancouver, she spent her time filling up notebooks with short stories, poems, and songs, and read everything she could get her hands on. After graduation she traveled to Montreal to establish herself as a musician. She performed her own material regularly, recorded her own album, organized musical “jam” nights in her community, and translated her love of words into musical lyrics.
