For a true local's perspective on Whistler's best destinations and activities, join our daily outings led by Fairmont's Whistler Experience Guide.Let our team be your hosts for mountain adventures, biking, paddle boarding, brewery tours and more 'off-the-tourist' track activities that capture the true essence of Whistler.  

Whistler Experience Guide tours are available for hotel guests seven days/week. Current outings and complete details are available in the Hotel Lobby, in the Health Club, in your Daily Hotel Newsletter and are always available for in-house guests by dialing '0' for Royal Service.

Summer Whistler Experience Guide are subject to change and may be weather dependent. Pre-registration at the Concierge Desk is required for all activities and is available up to 2 weeks in advance. Guests will be responsible for the cost of any rentals, admission fees and lift tickets

 

SUMMER WHISTLER EXPERIENCE GUIDE ACTIVITIES   

Valley Trail Bike Ride 2 – 2.5 hrs | Valley Trail Biking Tour Video
Discover Whistler’s natural playground! Join us for a casual ride along Whistlers’ Valley Trail to some of Whistler’s beautiful parks and lakes. Moderate fitness level required. Families welcome. 

Sunrise Paddle Boarding 2 hrs | Paddleboarding at Lost Lake Video
Rise and shine with a tranquil, sunrise paddle board adventure at Lost Lake, just minutes from Fairmont Chateau Whistler! (limited space available)

Hiking Tours 2 – 2.5 hrs | Rainbow Falls Hike Video
From family-friendly strolls, to waterfall hikes and even the Whistler Train Wreck, a variety of hikes will be offered throughout the summer season. Destinations include:

 

  • Train Wreck (2.5 hrs) | Moderate | Families welcome
  • Lost Lake Trail Hike (2 hrs) | Moderate | Families welcome
  • Valley Trail Hike (1.5 hrs) | Moderate
  • Rainbow Falls Hike (1.5 hrs) | Active

 

 

Rain or Shine Activities
Rain or shine, there is always plenty to explore in Whistler. Whether it’s learning something new or visiting one of our favourite Whistler attractions, you can expect to have a fun filled day!

Activities will include:

  • Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre (1 hour) | Families welcome
  • Whistler Museum Tour (1 hour) | Families welcome
  • Audain Art Museum Tour (1 hour) | Families welcome | Audain Art Museum Tour Video
  • Brewery Tour (2.5 hours) | Must be 19+ years of age
  • Frisbee Golf (2.5 hours) | Families welcome

 

Whistler Experience Guide Dog
Alta is a black Labrador, and arguably the most popular team member of Fairmont Chateau Whistler! Her days are spent exploring scenic trails with our Whistler Experience Guides and adventure-seeking guests. During her down time Alta can be found roaming The Chateau, greeting guests and colleagues alike. Alta was trained by Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind, and is proudly owned by Executive Chef Isabel Chung.
