Staff friendly and helpful. Fridge dirty and not working and no room for anything but pop cans - not even a bottle of wine. Magnifying mirror in bathroom dirty. Room unbearably hot - 26 degrees C. day and night.

I enjoyed my stay, but I do wish the restaurant was open for Dinner, the hot water did not work in my sink. They say they fixed it but they did not. There was no way to hook my phone or computer to the TV and by now most hotels should be able to do that. The staff were great and I needed a better set up for work in my room and the staff made it all work perfectly right away!

The room was very nice and the service very good.
Assisted in organizing training and meetings for Bayer CropScience Inc. The staff were wonderful. The hotel was uncomfortably warm all 4 days we were there. The meeting room airwalls were not functioning properly and so each meeting group could hear the other. One day there was water pouring out of the light (??) in front of the elevators on the meeting room level. Some of our participants had their vehicles broken into (glass knocked out). Some of the hotel rooms were too hot to sleep. The catering and room set-up was good.
The hotel is old and in need of many repairs. It definitely does not live up to the name Fairmont. If I was Fairmont I would remove their flag. I brought in a large group - 450 room nights and there were many check in issues due to very late check outs being allowed. As the meeting organizer my room was not ready until after 7:30pm and I had to ask for it - I was not notified. This is unacceptable and not worthy of the Fairmont name. The meeting spaces were small and not soundproof. Not ideal for confidential discussions or training sessions. The temperature control was atrocious. The meeting rooms would get to 27 degrees celsius by afternoon time. Again unacceptable and not meeting Fairmont standards. The pool was under maintenance which was another disappointment. There was also a high pitched whine that disturbed everyone's sleep on the 5-6 floors. Overall a very disappointing experience for a "Fairmont" hotel.

Each and every staff member was kind and extremely polite
The service is very good at this hotel, however, I'd say the rooms are just average. I'd expect higher quality at a Fairmont hotel. I was lucky to get upgraded to the Gold level and the breakfast was terrific.
We were very disappointed. We were supposed to check in at 3:00 pm and couldn't get into our room until 5:30 pm. We had ordered a cot that never came. The phone didn't work in our room. The carpet had stains all over. There was change laying around the floor. We were expecting a luxury stay but could have stayed at other hotels for half the price and would have been happier. The staff was very good. I doubt we will stay there again. We have stayed at different Fairmonts and they have been great. Very disappointed.
