Summer Activities - On Land
Experience Jasper National Park’s newest attraction; the Glacier Skywalk. Take the world renowned drive down the Icefields parkway to the Glacier Skywalk. This awe-inspiring adventure showcases the natural beauty of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. The fully-accessible cliff edge walkway leads to a glass floored observation platform that’s 280 meters (918 ft!) above the Sunwapta Valley. You will experience beautiful views of the rocky mountains, Sunwapta Valley, rushing waterfalls and an abundance of wildlife. The Jasper Skywalk and Glacier Adventure Sno-Coach are sure to make long lasting memories of the incredible landscape we stand within.

Feel like staying at the resort? We've got many fun activities right here - Stargazing, volleyball, soccer, shuffleboard, and horseshoes are available for complimentary guest usage. Tennis courts are also on property, and racquet rentals are available.

Horseback Riding - Seasonal
A variety of trail rides are offered just steps from your room through Jasper Park Stables Hourly, half day and full day excursions are available.

White Water Rafting
With so many great rivers at our disposal, white water rafting has emerged as one of the most popular activities for visitors in Jasper. Not only does rafting enable you to view the magnificent scenery of the Park from a whole new perspective, it is also a great venue for family occasions, parties, and celebrations. Summer Activities - By Air
Icefield Helicopter Tours
An amazing way to see Jasper National Park. Trips to the Columbia Icefields and Mount Robson as well as heli hiking, heli yoga, and even heli weddings are available.
The Jasper Tramway is a seven minute ride to the top of Whistler's Mountain, with a restaurant, gift shop, and some of the best views in the Rockies awaiting you.

Skating on Lake Mildred
When you stay at The Lodge you don’t have to go far to enjoy a beautiful day in Jasper National Park. We have a groomed skating rink on Lake Mildred offering round-the-lake oval and hockey rink for pick-up games. Skate rentals available at the Winter Rental Shop.
Try out Canada’s favourite past time – curling! Lake Mildred, with Whistlers Mountain as a backdrop, is the perfect spot to throw a few rocks. Drop by the Winter Rental Shop or the Boathouse for access to our rental equipment.
Cross Country Skiing & Snowshoeing
Newly groomed cross country ski and snowshoe trails are now set at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge! Cross country skiing is on Canada’s #1 Resort Course with incredible views of Old Man and Pyramid mountains. Snowshoe through the woods on marked trails towards Lake Annette. You may even see some wildlife! Be sure to pick up a brochure at the Concierge to acquire a detailed map.
Fat Tire Biking
Enjoy one of Canada’s fastest growing winter sports, Fat Tire Biking. Riding along the marked trail towards Lake Annette, returning by way of Trefoil Lake, this is a great way to see the different forests and mountains along the way. Bike rentals come with helmets, but be sure to dress appropriately.
Grab a toboggan, tube or sled, and GO! Our brand new, groomed hill is perfect for family fun. Rentals available at the Winter Rental Shop.
Our Natural Treasures family program is designed to get the kids outside to explore the great outdoors in the summer and winter alike. This innovative scavenger hunt uses clues and GPS technology to help you find hidden heiroglyphs around the property. Cost is $20 per family - contact the Recreation Department.
Winter Rental Shop at The Golf Clubhouse
Visit us at the Winter Rental Shop for all of your recreational rental needs – Cross Country Skis, Skates, Hockey Sticks, Snowshoes, Fat Tire Bikes, Toboggans and even Tubes to enjoy our groomed runs on the Driving Range. There is also an area to warm up by the fire after your ski or toboggan adventure. The Rental Shop offers a selection of warm outdoor gear as well as some traditional Golf merchandise.

NEW Downhill Ski and Snowboard Rentals
Be sure to visit our Winter Rental Shop from Friday - Sunday to rent your downhill ski and snowboard equipment before hitting the slopes! Full line of equipment, skis and snowboards from entry level to expert are available. Helmets, goggles, gloves and even ski jackets and pants will be available for rent or purchase.

Skiing & Snowboarding
Discover the new high speed chair, great terrain, and wide open spaces at Marmot Basin! The ski hill is only 20 minutes from Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, and daily shuttles are available.
Mike Wiegele Heli-Skiing
Travel by helicopter into the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains and experience the challenge of steep trees, the thrill of a glacier descent or the more relaxed pace of our gentler slopes as you explore more than 1,200,000 acres of back country ski terrain.
Cross Country Skiing
The perfect activity if downhill skiing isn’t your thing, or if you just want a change of pace. Over 300 kilometers of trails make Jasper one of the largest cross-country ski areas in Canada. Please stop by the concierge desk to pick up a trail map or for an update on trail conditions.
High Country Helicopter Tours
See sights not available from a bus or car. Offering breathtaking views of Jasper, and tours of some of the National Parks most popular landmarks. Please speak to the Fairmont Concierge for booking and details.
Maligne Canyon Ice Walk
Explore a frozen wonderland on this guided tour through Maligne Canyon. Ice climbing is also available.
