Keiki (Kids) Hula
In July, we celebrate keiki hula in honor of the Queen Lili’uokalani Keiki Hula Competition on O’ahu. This competition draws keiki from around the state to O’ahu each year to compete for various titles. The event dates back to 1976, when The Kalihi-Palama Culture & Arts Society organized a festival to honor Hawai’i’s last reigning monarch, Queen Lili’uokalani.
