See and Be "Scene"
Already a destination for those in the top 10 charts, guests can live like a 'celeb' in the Fairmont Pacific Rim's Owner's suite. Nicknamed the 'Rock Star suite', guests are whisked away in

An urban oasis - locally authentic - sensuously modern
Fairmont Pacific Rim, designed by James Cheng, the architect whose green glass
towers helped create the term "Vancouverism" combines the best of Asia and the west coast in its plan and décor; connecting to the surrounding area and capturing the true outdoor lifestyle. Vancouver is recognized as the largest
concentration of photo conceptual artists in the world. The Fairmont Pacific
Rim provides an array of photography exhibited throughout the building. This is
just the beginning...
Art is the leading role in the hotel and plays homage to two public art pieces,
beginning with a running line of repeat text by Internationally acclaimed artist
Liam Gillick in his signature choice of Helvetica bold: Lying on top of a building the clouds looked no nearer than when I was lying on the street. On the other side of the building glistens silver in the sun from an abstract forest and teases with an image of a North Vancouver Rainforest that is best seen on the south side of Cordova Street. Joseph Wu, a master origami artist based in Vancouver, has created a sculpture 180 feet long that soars across the lobby ceiling and is illuminated so it appears to be a light fixture and can be viewed from the lobby level, to draw guests to the restaurant's second level.
Dishing it up
Executive Chef Darren Brown, homegrown and internationally traveled has made his way around the Pacific Rim, from the West Indies to French Polynesia. Guests can experience this journey around the world at three different culinary destinations within the hotel. Kick
start the day at Giovane Cafe as serious coffee drinker's cravings are met - sugar buns anyone? Continuing into the night, Giovane winebar takes centre stage with an Italian menu complete with pizza, antipasti, formaggi & salumi plates complimenting a 60 + Italian wine list (40 available by the glass). The Lobby Lounge keeps it chilled with a raw bar that can be perfectly paired with hand crafted cocktails. Guests sip and savour while listening to the local talents of the nightly live entertainment (a hot spot in Vancouver). ORU, available morning, noon and night offers a menu featuring locally sourced food from the Pacific Northwest and flavours from around the Pacific Rim.
