Our first visit to this Hotel very disappointed that the Pool Restaurant and Bar was under construction which was noisy and unsightly during most of our 10 day stay. Getting served on the beach to drinks was awfully slow and on several occasions I fetched my own drinks. However we had a lovely holiday.
As a regular visitor the Hotel sadly i think is becoming a " Faded Queen ", living on previous reputation. Despite lovely staff the hotel doesnt offer 5 star facility , with poor pool/beach bar service . Palm Terrace restaurant is faded , breakfast not up to top quality hotels and whilst we were there for 2 weeks the alternative restaurant was closed for refurbishment which left little option

We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary with our adult kids the staff were exceptional, the location to the beach and fantastic restaurant made the celebration a memorable one.
Disappointing
Lovely friendly staff. Poor attendance on the beach. Room lovely. Food at the restaurant ok. Disappointed the newly restored restaurant wasn’t open when promised.
My wife and I spent a week there from 18/11-25/11
We had a lovely time

Having stayed many times before this visit was a huge disappointment. Firstly the room we had requested was not available. Then we discovered that the central hub of the hotel the bar and restaurant were not open and under refurbishment. We were aware this work had been planned but it was stated that it would be completed by our arrival date. As such this was closed for the duration of our stay. The general appearance of the pool area was poor and dirty with a lot of litter in the hedgerows. The swilling out of the temporary bar was also attracting a large amount of flies around the entrance to the ground floor rooms on the beachfront near the very dated and malfunctioning beach shower. The casual beach bar area is so out date now it lacks any real sense of quality. Pre arranged morning coffee only turned up on time 4 of the 8 days. And on two occasions was forgotten completely. Finally the standard of food was very poor. At all levels this is probably the most disappointing party of the stay.
Do feel the standard of the hotel has deteriorated, the state of the pool and surrounding areas, the steps by the beach unkept . The taps to shower and clean feet broken

Our stay was fantastic. Beach was amazing and rooms were facing ocean. Food at hotel was very good also and staff were very friendly. My only negative was the service was very slow at times in the dining room for breakfast and lunch. There was also a lot of refurbishment going on at the hotel, which was fine but would have appreciated a heads up before we arrived.
