Good stay!

Great staff and customer service. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Having the Nespresso was a nice surprise and appreciated on early mornings. The shower was a bit small and it would have been nice to have an empty fridge instead of a mini bar. Otherwise, everything was great!

Lack of Care

We had overall okay stay at the Fairmont, we had reached out to front desk on a two occasions that the AC in our room was broken and the sleep at night was uncomfortable, we asked for a fan to be brought up to the room and it wasn't so we called again and were only then advised they didn't have any. Suggestion was to open the windows, which we did but did not cool the room down at all. No one was sent to the room to take a look at the AC/no effort made to repair. Had an uncomfortable sleep/no sleep for 3 nights.

Not a Good Experience

The room was only cleaned once in my four day stay. Upon checking out, I received an updated bill detailing that everything on the room bar was consumed including alcohol which could severely impact me as I used a government card for my room stay and this information is posted to the public. When I called, this was corrected, but I would never stay or recommend a stay at this hotel again. Lastly, there was a device found in the room when I moved the nightstand to find my ring that dropped behind it that I recorded that looked suspicious.

Urban Experience Fee

Great Location, but had a "gotcha" on checkout with an "Urban Experience Fee". After talking to the front desk (no help), and several email after the stay, and submitting copies of my email receipt that CLEARLY stated all fees were included; I finally got a refund. However I would encourage anyone who also experiences this to contact their credit card company and contest the charge. When the billing department said "they get these all the time", there is clearly an issue.

Well located, but errors made on fundamentals

The location is great and easy to access from the L, and The Lodge was a nice touch. However, my friends and I purchased two rooms via a third-party, which we confirmed was pre-paid upon arrival - yet we both received itemized bills and charged for the stay that we had to get reversed. If this was a one-off confusion it would have been acceptable, but both rooms had the same issue which is a fundamental flaw in their booking system.
