Hello, We came in for a couple weekend to celebrate my partner’s birthday, the staff was very nice and welcoming, the issue unfortunately was in the room! The room was dirty! Very dusty which triggered our allergies! When we went to take a shower we immediately saw that the shower head was very moldy and full of calcium. The following night, after getting drench by the massive storm, we decided to take a bath, however as soon as we opened the faucets the water came out orange yellow as if they havent been opened in years! It eventually turn to normal water colour but, was just a major turn off at this point! How would we know if the water was safe at this point. We had been used to the amazing luxurious and quality of Fairmont in Canada, so overall the experience was definitely not what we expected from a Fairmont a 4 stars hotel! Especially not coming recommend from the Amex Hotels Collection!

We've stayed at Fairmont's all over North America, and this was by far the best stay we have had! Everything is perfect, from the room to the Gold Lounge to the spa to the incredible staff. The Gold One Bedroom Suite is spectacular. Well done Fairmont Chicago! We'll be back.
A leaking toilet and associated mould on bathroom floor is not what you would expect at a hotel that clearly presents itself as something better.

Great stay, and location. the room was a little older (starting to get outdated)/mattress uncomfortable. Very kind staff (especially the valet and front door bell. Room service was excellent and fast. Location is terrific.

I was erroneously charged for 5 minibar items from my room refrigerator but I never touched any items in the refrigerator. I took a 10 minute with a manger to get the charges removed. Charges were refunded but the inconvenience and thought that erroneous charges of almost $100 are randomly being added is a problem.
My room was missing coffee cups, tumblers, wine glasses and the packages of coffee sugar and creamers were opened with the stir stick removed. My first 4 days I brought it up to the front desk and every day when the room was serviced they forgot cups, sugar packets, glasses and coffee pods. Also, obvious trash was left in my room each day. A trash bag in the hall way on the 18th floor was next to the elevator for 4 days and never removed.
Checked in and had prepaid for a King room. Phone were available and gave me a double room that were full sized beds. Air conditioners no stopped working in night. Maintenance came at 3:30am. Cleaning crew camped out in empty room next to me from 9am until checkout and were extremely loud. While the cleaning crew was parlaying the lotion container was completely empty in my bathroom.
We had a reservation for 2 guests, we arrived at separate times so I checked in alone first. The receptionist was not at all friendly when greeting me. After giving my last name for the reservation, the receptionist stated that she could not find any reservation for that name on the system. She then proceeded to ask for a confirmation email or any proof of a reservation here. My data was very slow, so I asked to use the hotel wifi after which she says "you can use the public wifi." I finally found the confirmation email, she looks at it for a while, double checking everything on my phone screen. I had reservations for the fairmont gold experience. After seeing this, her demeanour completely changes she becomes friendly, calling me Ms... and welcoming me to the hotel letting me know that I can check in on the gold floor. This was a disappointing and very unfriendly way to begin my stay here in Chicago.
