Saving water at Montebello

Most hotels now have water-efficient showerheads and tap aerators and we continue to replace all toilets that have a flush capacity over 2 gallons (7.6 liters). Guests can do their part by choosing to participate in the towel and sheet exchange program offered at all Fairmont properties

Our sustainable engagements

At Fairmont Le Château Montebello, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and inclusiveworkplace for all, where everyone feels recognized, supported, and valued. We celebrate diversity and are committed to promoting equity and inclusion for all our guests, partners, and colleagues.

To conserve energy and cut greenhouse gas emissions, Fairmont has introduced compact fluorescent light bulbs where possible. Lighting retrofit and other lighting efficiency projects are in place at 95%

Fairmont is committed to purchasing local, organic, Fair Trade and sustainable food products wherever possible including utilizing organic wines, local purveyors and on-site garden.

Discover the grand chef's gardens at Fairmont Le Château Montebello. As you see our chefs strolling from the kitchen into the gardens, their white hats barely higher than the crops, make your way to them and ask them anything you want!

Leading the Way in Sustainable Hospitality

We are also committed to eliminating single-use plastics from your experience. You might find a few items left until suitable alternatives are available, but we are well on our way to achieving our goals.
