If you encounter sargassum on our beach, we'll gift you one complimentary night on your next visit, in the same room category originally reserved. This promise reflects our unwavering commitment to your complete satisfaction and our dedication to standing behind the exceptional Fairmont Mayakoba experience.

  • Guests affected by sargassum conditions shall be entitled to receive one (1) complimentary room night on a future visit to Fairmont Mayakoba.

Information

  • For stays affected during the following dates:

    September 14th - December 20th, 2026

  • Stay Dates:

    Complimentary night can be redeemed within twelve (12) months, in the same room category as the original stay and with an EP (European Plan) package.

  • The guest must approach the Front Desk during their stay (from September 14th to December 20th, 2026) to report sargassum conditions affecting beach access.
  • Front Desk personnel will immediately contact the Watersports team to verify and corroborate the current beach conditions and sargassum situation at the time of the report. The complimentary night promotion is valid only if beach access is impossible or severely restricted due to sargassum presence, as confirmed by the Watersports team.
  • Upon verification, Front Desk will notify the Reservations Department with documentation of the incident.
  • The Reservations Department will issue a gift certificate for the complimentary night valid for twelve (12) months from the date of issuance, which the guest can use to make a reservation directly with the Reservations Department for their future stay (please view terms and conditions below).

  • Valid for affected stays from September 14 through December 20, 2026.
  • Not applicable to groups, buyouts, or during high-season dates. Subject to availability. Cannot be combined with other promotions.
  • Special offer intended for individual travel, not valid for groups or conventions.
  • Offer cannot be combined with other promotions or special rates.
  • Offer can only be redeemed by following the instructions and receiving an authorized Gift Certificate from the Reservations team. 
  • The complimentary night is provided on European Plan (EP) basis, room accommodations only, and does not include meals, beverages, additional services, activities, dining packages, or resort amenities.
  • The complimentary night must be redeemed within twelve (12) months of the date on the gift certificate provided by the Reservations team. 
  • The complimentary night shall be provided in the same room category as originally reserved for the affected stay.
  • The complimentary night is non-transferable and must be redeemed with the same number of guests as the original reservation, with the primary guest listed on the original booking required to be present during the complimentary stay.
  • This offer is subject to projected availability and to change without notice. Blackout dates apply.
