It took 50 teams of horses and 200 men working together for a year in order to clear the land of boulders and debris to prepare it for what would become one of Canada's premiere golf courses. Since the opening of the mountain golf course in 1925, this jewel set deep in the heart of the Canadian Rockies has been the setting of unforgettable memories for all of those who come to play.
Few golf courses in the world can match the rugged majesty of this national treasure, rated Canada's #1 Golf Resort for the past 20 years by SCOREGolf Magazine.

Great location but room very dated.
My experience did not meet expectations. I’ve stayed in Fairmont all over and this property did not resemble a Fairmont. It felt more like a boy-scout campground. I was a little surprised to find the Fairmont name on this property after staying and considered checking out early. My room was not ready until 5pm and I arrived around 1pm to enjoy the grounds. My room was outdated and extremely hot during my stay due to no air conditioning. I basically left the resort exhausted from lack of sleep when I came to luxuriate. This must be disclosed during booking. Many guests I spoke with were shocked by the lacking amenities and outdated decor. However, the staff was lovely and every interaction I had was a positive experience. Kudos to your hiring team. Overall, I would not recommend this property or stay here again. I would not have stayed this time had I known my room was going to be 90 degrees.

We had a great time. We treated our friends from Florida to a trip to Jasper and staying at the lodge was a nice treat. Would visit more often but it’s cost prohibitive.
The stay was an extremely disappointing experience. Our room was not ready when we checked in at 5;00 PM after waiting in line for about 15 minutes. An hour later our room was ready. The $600 room was like a 1960's motel with a nice bathroom. Next we went to have dinner... the wait to be seated was over an hour. Once seated, it was almost an hour before our food arrived. We checked out a day early and went back to Lake Louise.
Overall good but with areas that definitely need improvement. As a mobility challenged person, I was very disappointed that there was not easy access to some of the facilities. I noted that there were always steps leading to cabins, particularily 435 with 4 steps in and out. Difficult to get from level to level in main lodge as only one elevator in far end of building and stairways were not easily used. Needed automatic doors to washrooms as doors were heavy and not easy opened when with a walker. Also true of access doors from outside. We had good experiences with restaurant and lounge staff. Unimpressed with buffet at the Nook our last night.
Excellent service, I was dissappointed there was no housekeeping but otherwise very happ
When we drove through the arch to the lodge and saw Mount Edith Cavell perfectly framed, I knew we had arrived at the perfect place to enjoy Jasper National Park! Our final stay in a nine day adventure through the Canadian Rockies, I was already very fond of the mountain and the story of the nurse for whom she was named. The lodge grounds were so lovely and the various eating places were wonderful, but overpriced. Nevertheless, everything was perfect, except that we used the online checkout option and didn't ever receive the promised itemized receipt.
We really liked the level of service but were disappointed with the accommodations; air conditioning is a must at this price point. Our room was 86°F when we went to bed which was no earlier than midnight both nights. When we woke up it had dropped down to 77°F, still not an acceptable temperature.
We enjoyed four nights in the main lodge, which is beautiful. The only problem we encountered were the workmen walking to and from the unit next door multiple times daily for renovations. There also were occasional sounds of construction, which wasn't conducive to enjoying the outdoor patio area.
