It took 50 teams of horses and 200 men working together for a year in order to clear the land of boulders and debris to prepare it for what would become one of Canada's premiere golf courses. Since the opening of the mountain golf course in 1925, this jewel set deep in the heart of the Canadian Rockies has been the setting of unforgettable memories for all of those who come to play.
Few golf courses in the world can match the rugged majesty of this national treasure, rated Canada's #1 Golf Resort for the past 20 years by SCOREGolf Magazine.

We love the property and the location, and that is why we continue to come back to JPL. Many things could be improved about the hotel experience though. Outdated bathrooms (toilet malfunctioning, tub very slow to drain), last minute room change resulting in my elderly grandfather being kicked out of the main lodge (one of the reasons we chose JPL was so he could have his room attached to so many amenities), valet took 45 minutes to bring car, heated pad to hot tub was totally frozen and not working so salt was poured all over the walk way which was very difficult to walk on and also probably not good for bare feet… maybe provide slippers to guests if this is happening as many ppl don’t know to bring their slippers from their hotel room. Also, a friend of ours paid for wine and a note to be delivered to our room upon our arrival and the wine was not there (he had to call to get it brought for us) and the note never did show up. For such an expensive fairmont hotel, these are just basic things that should be executed well in my opinion.
We are a family of five travelling from Australia. We are platinum Accor members and always stay in Accor properties. We had a lovely stay but are slightly upset when looking at our invoice we noticed we had been charged twice for dinner. At check out Aasmeet who was very charming said the dinner was not charged to our room as my husband paid the night in the restaurant. We talked about this and I asked is he could check that we were not charged and he said we had not been charged but in fact it was on our children’s room that I saw after we left to go to Whistler.
We stay at Jasper Park Lodge for my husband's Birthday. Even got 'cake' compliment from the hotel. Our room 650 was close to the main lodge, pool and shore. Bathroom looks perfect - recently renovated. Parking was cross the road, stall under the room number. Restaurant with the wonderful view on the lake and mountains is nice, meal was tasty, service was fast. Outdoor Jacuzzi and hot pool are very enjoyable. We would like to come back in the summer.
Room was clean and quiet. Pool was nice and lots of stuff to do.
Had booked a junior suite with lakeview, fireplace, and sitting area. When arrived they said that they had upgraded me to a larger suite. I have stayed in these "larger suites" before and I do not consider them an upgrade. They are far away from the main lodge and the furnishings are dated. I complained about this and they moved me to another cabin but not the lakeview ones that I had originally booked. The only place that you can eat there is the great hall. Orso is only opened Thur- Sat evenings. The Japanese restaurant is so small that it is impossible to get in. They use to have a breakfast buffet but no longer being done. Moose's Nook is closed, The chalet was only open during the holidays. For such a high end hotel they need to have more places to dine.

Great service from the time arrived to the time I departed.
