Join us in the heart of Jasper National Park for family fun right here on property. From enjoying a traditional Canadian pastime on Lake Mildred to trying a new form of skiing on one of our groomed trails, there’s an activity for all ages to experience this winter season.

Skating on Lake Mildred
When you stay at The Lodge you don’t have to go far to enjoy a beautiful day in Jasper National Park. We have a groomed skating rink on Lake Mildred offering a round-the-lake oval and a hockey rink for pick-up games. Skate rentals available at the Winter Rental Shop.

Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoeing
Newly groomed cross country ski and snowshoe trails are now set at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge! Cross country skiing is on Canada’s #1 Resort Golf Course with incredible views of Old Man and Pyramid mountains. Snowshoe through the woods on marked trails towards Lake Annette. You may even see some wildlife! Be sure to stop by the Concierge to pick up a detailed map.

Fat Tire Biking
Enjoy one of Canada’s fastest growing winter sports, Fat Tire Biking. Riding along the marked trail towards Lake Annette, returning by way of Trefoil Lake, this is a great way to see the different forests and mountains along the way. Bike rentals come with helmets, but be sure to dress appropriately.

Toboggan Park
Grab a toboggan, tube or sled, and GO! Our brand new, groomed hill is perfect for family fun. Rentals available at the Winter Rental Shop.

Ski Marmot Basin
Marmot Ski Basin is Jasper's ski hill with more than 1,675 acres of skiable terrain. Marmot offers skiing for everyone from the earliest beginner to the most demanding expert. Along with 86 named trails, uncrowded groomed slopes, superb facilities, there is lots and lots of that white stuff that makes skiing at Marmot so great. The ski hill is 20 minutes from Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.

Cross Country Skiing
The perfect activity if downhill skiing isn’t your thing, or if you just want a change of pace. Over 300 kilometers of trails make Jasper one of the largest cross-country ski areas in Canada. Please stop by the concierge desk to pick up a trail map or for an update on trail conditions.

Mike Wiegele Heli-Skiing
Travel by helicopter into the Monashee and Cariboo Mountains and experience the challenge of steep trees, the thrill of a glacier descent or the more relaxed pace of our gentler slopes as you explore more than 1,200,000 acres of back country ski terrain.

High Country Helicopter Tours
See sights not available from a bus or car. Offering breathtaking views of Jasper, and tours of some of the National Parks most popular landmarks. Please speak to the Fairmont Concierge for booking and details.

Dog Sledding
Take your family on the adventure of a lifetime! Speed through the heart of the forest to see the spectacular snow capped mountains and frozen waterfalls. Tours are available just outside the park - see Concierge to book.

Snowmobile Tours
Breathtakingly beautiful and surprisingly easy! Tours are available just outside the Park - see Concierge to book.
