Disappointing. I usually stay at Omni or Kimpton during my monthly work trips to Pittsburgh. Chose Fairmont this time on a whim because Google Maps displays it as the only five-star hotel in Pittsburgh. This would be a perfectly fine hotel if marketed as a 3-star, but lacks the attention to details of a five-star hotel, making me feel ripped off. Room had no do not disturb hang tag, although other rooms did. Room had no Keurig coffees for the in-room machine upon check-in. Asked for coffee from housekeeping who was working on the floor; she indicated housekeeping isn't provided with any coffee for rooms, it was someone else's job, and I would have to go ask at front desk. That is not a "5-star" response. Second, I should have noticed earlier, but next morning realized that there were also no paper cups or mugs in the room, so still no way to actually use the Keurig. Had given up, so decided to order pot of coffee via room service, but no one picked up the phone and call eventually transferred to a message that no one was available. Back down to front desk to ask for coffee mugs. Desk clerk stated he had no mugs or cups to give me, but he would have someone would deliver them to my room. 45 minutes later, I had the privilege of tipping when 2 coffee cups finally delivered. The down button on our floor's elevator (Floor 14) was broken. First evening there, my wife and I ordered two glasses of house Cabernet at the 2nd floor bar, and bill was $60, before tip. Most expensive glasses of wine I've ever had, and just glad we didn't order a second round and decided not to go back to bar for second night. A "five star" hotel should have a room fridge. It is not a bad hotel, just not a five star, and there are better options in Pittsburgh. I won't be back.

We stayed there for my daughter’s wedding! They made us feel so special!
The room was very dirty I sent an email with the pictures
The Fairmont is in a good location, close to a number of good restaurants. It is clean and on the upscale side of the specturm.

Marginal. Was charged for M and M's even though there were NONE in the room and we told the front desk that in advance--a simple, but double issue. TV did not go to the higher channels by press any numbers on the remote. Asked our breakfast server about how to add our pre paid breakfast rate to our bill, but none the less, was still charged. The sausage was simply cold. Asked for it to be heated---the second set came out just as COLD. What the temperature is in the room and what the A/C would go down to are not the same. Could not get the A/C to cool lower than about 74 on a 70 degree day outside.
Overall good stay. However, the toilet needed repair the first night. The second day we discovered holes in the sheets.

Exceptional staff and experience
Overall -- good. We arrived on a Thursday. Friday our room was poorly cleaned. Saturday and Sunday beautifully cleaned. Different housekeeper. You need to put some coffee cups in a room. Hard to drink hot coffee out of a glass which is what we had to do one morning. Overall, I was with you for 4 days and have only two small complaints so I would say ---- I would definitely return to the Fairmont. Very nice.
Hotel did not have my Accor credentials saved. The wi-fi in my room did not work with my name and room number combination, had to go to the front desk to receive a login code. Room did not have foam pillows as requested.
