  • From Downtown San Diego/Airport:
    Take Interstate 5 North and exit on the 56 East/Local Bypass (Exit 33A). Take the Carmel Country Road exit (Exit 2) and turn right. Proceed one-quarter (1/4) mile on Carmel Country and turn left at Grand Del Mar Way. Turn right on Grand Del Mar Court and continue down the hill to the resort entrance.

    From Los Angeles:
    Take Interstate 5 South and exit on the 56 East/Carmel Valley Road exit (Exit 33). Turn left at the traffic light. Follow the signs and proceed straight to the 56 East. Take the 56 East to the Carmel Country Road exit (Exit 2) and turn right. Proceed one-quarter (1/4) mile on Carmel Country and turn left at Grand Del Mar Way. Turn right on Grand Del Mar Court and continue down the hill to the resort entrance.

    From Interstate 15 North:
    Take the Ted Williams Parkway/56 West exit (Exit 19). Turn left onto Ted Williams Parkway. Proceed to the Carmel Country Road exit (Exit 2) and turn left. Proceed one-quarter (1/4) mile on Carmel Country and turn left at Grand Del Mar Way. Turn right on Grand Del Mar Court and continue down the hill to the resort entrance.

    From Interstate 15 South:
    Merge onto Ted Williams Parkway/56 West via Exit 19. Proceed to the Carmel Country Road exit (Exit 2) and turn left. Proceed one-quarter (1/4) mile on Carmel Country and turn left at Grand Del Mar Way. Turn right on Grand Del Mar Court and continue down the hill to the resort entrance.

Wonderful getaway!

Spent 3 days at the Fairmont which was lovely. The staff are top notch! Everyone I came in contact with went out of their way to be helpful. Room service is the best in the business. And, I loved walking the grounds of the hotel in the morning - through the trails, passing the horse stables and the beautiful landscapes throughout. Thank you for a great stay!

Beautiful, given wrong room

On check in with two tired kids given room which was Not what we booked. When brought up to front staff next morning told “ oh we upgraded you”. Thanks but I booked a suite room with 2 bathrooms and loved my kids sharing the one bathroom room you gave us. Honestly a simple “ oh yes I see your phone with your reservation pulled up that we didn’t give you the correct room” explanation would have been fine. Also turn done service for the kids bed was after 9pm.

You never have to leave!

This was our first experience at a five-star hotel and it certainly did not disappoint. The service was phenomenal, the bed was the most comfortable we've ever slept in, the food & cocktails at Amaya were incredible. If you're not good enough to play a full 18 holes, definitely check out the driving range for a lower cost and very fun option. Beautiful property with so many things to do and see. Highly recommend.
