Early check-in and late check out is subject to availability and upon request.

We would be happy to place a request for early check in, however, we cannot guarantee it as our check in time is not until 4pm. Early check in at 12:00 pm is $125 plus tax.  Guests are more than welcome to arrive at the resort at any time and if their rooms are not fully prepared, we can store luggage and guests can begin to use all of our wonderful resort amenities. 

ALL members can receive a late check out at 2:00 pm based on availability. Late check out fees begin at 1:00 pm and is based on availability.  To ensure no fee for late checkout be sure to coordinate with the front desk.

Late check out at 1:00 pm is $100 plus tax.
Late check out at 2:00 pm is $200 plus tax.

Daily rates are not inclusive of overnight valet parking charges of $70 per night (plus tax). The daily rate for parking is $25 per car.

Valet is available 24-hours.

Charging stations are available for Teslas and electric vehicles. Subject to availability.

Fairmont Grand Del Mar welcomes up to two dogs per room. Other animals are not permitted. A non-refundable cleaning fee of $150 per stay (plus tax) will be charged to the credit card on file. Dog-friendly rooms are located on the first floor. (Except for the Signature Poolside Patio Rooms.)

Guests have easy access to elevators in the Main Lobby and near the Fairmont Spa and Wellness.

Smoking is not permitted inside Fairmont Grand Del Mar, including guestrooms, balconies or terraces. Designated outdoor smoking areas are located throughout the resort grounds, and colleagues can assist with guidance to the nearest location. Violations will be subject to a $350 fee.

We offer in-room safety deposit boxes. Boxes are large enough to hold a laptop computer.

Fairmont Grand Del Mar does have a lost and found at security.

Classic meets cool with our Zybra e-bikes. Glimpse a stately Mule deer darting between trees, and marvel over a waterfall cascading through ancient volcanic rock. Breeze through our beautiful coastal canyon or set out for a two mile ride to Del Mar’s white sandy beach. The ride doesn’t get any easier than on one of our new electric bicycles. Explore our sprawling resort grounds. Keep your eyes peeled for the thrilling flora and fauna in our coastal canyon setting, whether it’s a great blue heron poised to take flight or giant California live oaks.

The e-bikes are available to rent by downloading the Zybra Plus app on a smartphone for those 18 and older. Two bikes can be rented at the same time per phone. Rentals are $20 per hour, per bike from when you start to ride until the bike is docked in its station. You can ride as fast as 20 miles per hour. Bikes and helmets are available at the front drive. Bikes are not allowed on the golf course or resort trails, but they are street legal.

Turndown service is provided between 5:00 pm and 9:00 pm to all guests and tailored to each guest based on their stay or specific celebratory occasion. Services for all includes removal of trash, refresh of towels and linen if needed, clothes folded and, complimentary carafes of water filled and coffee and teas provided.
