Put your skills to the test at The Grand’s Archery Range. With complimentary bows and arrows, you’ll learn the basics as you take aim.

Archery sessions are available daily at 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm throughout the summer. September to May sessions are at 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm Thursday through Sunday.

Discover a place that naturally engages the curiosity of children. Kids will venture out to find the magic of the outdoors and they will create crafts that capture the character of Southern California, like suncatchers and sand art.

There is plenty of room to roam on The Grand’s expansive 400-acre property. With Southern California’s spectacular year-round weather, you’ll want to do just that. Located adjacent to the Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve, explore more than 37 miles of hiking trails beginning on the property grounds.

Classic meets cool with our Zybra e-bikes. Breeze through our beautiful coastal canyon or set out for a two mile ride to Del Mar’s white sandy beach. The ride doesn’t get any easier than on one of our electric bicycles.

Explore the retail stores at Fairmont Grand Del Mar. Whether you are looking for last minute attire for the evening, or a bathing suit, accessories or shirts, one of our three boutiques has what you are looking for. Gift cards and online purchases available as well.

Commune with nature on the back of one of our special creatures. Embark on a guided excursion along sagebrush-lined trails past a grove of giant oaks. Safe and reliable trail horses will be provided to accommodate all levels of riders. Horses will be groomed and tacked up prior to the guest’s arrival in order to maximize riding time.

$195 per person | 40 minutes

Horseback riding lessons will be offered in The Grand Del Mar arena on an as requested schedule. Lessons are 45 minutes in length and include grooming/tacking up the horse and a private riding lesson.

Grooming services will be offered for those with time constraints.

$200 per person | 45 minutes

PONY RIDES

Lead line pony rides will be offered for the younger kids ages 2-6.
Pony rides are available Tuesday through Sunday for $80 per rider the following times:
12:30 pm to 12:45 pm
12:45 pm to 1:00 pm
1:30 pm to 1:45 pm

$80 per person | 15 minutes

MEET THE HORSES

Visit the equestrian center 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm, Tuesday through Sunday, to meet the horses.
