Built in 1933, Cirque was the first bar to reopen following Prohibition. The walls are adorned with brilliant gold murals painted by Esther Bruton with the help of her sister Margaret, depicting in Art Deco style dancing horses, acrobats, and wild-animal trainers among other circus scenes.
