The Beaufort Bar provides a theatrical, art deco setting in which to enjoy cocktails that push the boundaries. The award-winning team have created a menu designed to intrigue and excite guests with each drink listed entirely unique to the Beaufort Bar.  Character cocktails, served in era-specific vintage glassware and garnished tableside, pay tribute to four of The Savoy’s most famous personalities. For guests with more of a taste for champagne, the Beaufort Bar boasts an impressive selection of vintage and non-vintage champagne by the glass and bottle. 

The bar itself stands on the hotel’s former cabaret stage, which was graced by such luminaries as Carol Gibbons, the Savoy Orpheans and George Gershwin.


The Beaufort Bar was awarded the coveted title of Best International Hotel Bar at Tales of the Cocktail 2015.

Drinks menu

The Savoy's Beaufort Bar cocktail menu takes the form of a beautifully illustrated tunnel book. Twisting strands from the Savoy’s illustrious history into a fascinating cocktail narrative, the menu takes guests on a tour of the hotel through its legendary tales and extraordinary guests. From secret wartime bars, rooftop tap-dancing and extravagant gondola parties to luminaries such as Alfred Hitchcock, Katherine Hepburn and Tom Jones, the menu will be a celebration of some of The Savoy’s most captivating stories.

New Year's Eve celebration

Welcome 2018 at the Beaufort Bar’s New Year’s Eve party. The entrance fee is £65 per person, including a welcome drink. A canapés menu will also be available, priced at £27 per canapés plate, consisting of six canapés of your choice: 

Cold canapés

  • Cured beetroot salmon, pickled cucumber & olive caviar
  • Cow’s curd with bacon jam on crispy chicken skin
  • Chestnut tart with caramelised onion jam (V)
Hot canapés
  • Langoustine “en croute” with basil & mango dip
  • Devils on horseback with pancetta & cranberry jam
  • Truffle arancini with heritage tomato chutney
Sweet canapés
  • Eton Mess, vanilla, Clementine, chestnut
  • Dark chocolate éclair, winter spices, streusel
  • Frozen lollipop, praline ice cream

The Beaufort Bar will be open from 5.00pm on New Year's Eve, and until 2.00am on 1 January. Hotel guests have free access to the party, although a table cannot be guaranteed (welcome drink not included).

The Cocktail of the Moment

Known for its theatrical drinks and dramatic décor, The Savoy's Beaufort Bar is launching from October the ‘Cocktail of the Moment’, inspired by some of the world’s most well-loved books. 


  • The Chosen One - inspired by the wizarding world of our finest storyteller, JK Rowling, this cocktails celebrates 20 years from when the first Harry Potter book was published. Ingredients like beetroot cordial, Bénédictine, silver and salted butter, come together to celebrate the magic and the mystical, and playfully invokes some of Hogwarts’ most distinctive flavours and famed drinks.  
  • The Arkenstone - dedicated to one of the most fantastic gatherings in literature: the birthday party of Bilbo Baggins. Coinciding with the 80th anniversary of The Hobbit, The Arkenstone will explore the fanciful foodstuff enjoyed by JRR Tolkien’s characters and their expeditions through dark forests and mountain ranges. Flavours such as mead, ale, honey and lemon are inspired by the habits of dwarves and hobbits, while the inclusion of raspberry will be recognised by any proud Hobbit fan. 
  • Elementary - this instalment will celebrate 125 years of Baker Street’s most famous inhabitant. Sherlock Holmes, like The Savoy, is an iconic London character who spent many an hour at the hotel’s famous and recently restored restaurant, Simpson’s in the Strand. Served up in one of the Beaufort Bar’s vintage coupe glasses, this cocktail is a Manhattan-style drink with ingredients such as orange Curaçao, absinthe and poppy liqueur, that nod to both Holmes’s cases and his vices. 


A beautifully illustrated card accompanies each cocktail, in keeping with the style of the Beaufort Bar’s renowned tunnel menu.

Festive season opening times:

  • Christmas Eve:  5.00pm - 12.00am

  • Boxing Day:  5.00pm - 12.00am

Dress Code

Smart casual. No sportswear.


The Beaufort Bar accepts reservations from Monday to Thursday only. Please email or call the restaurant reservations team on +44 (0)20 7420 2111 between 09:00 to 20:00 BST. Please note that table will be held for 15 minutes. On Savoy Dinner Dance evenings, there will be a £10 per person cover charge from 8:00pm to 11:00pm.
