One of London's oldest and most famous restaurants, Simpson's in the Strand has reopened its doors following a respectful restoration. The restaurant delivers an experience that honours its 189-year history and heritage, yet places itself firmly at the forefront of the modern London dining scene.

Simpson's bill of fare

With a strong focus on produce sourced from around the British Isles, Head Chef William Hemming has reimagined a new menu with contemporary dishes such as the Buccleuch Estate beef tartare, alongside firm favourites such as Roast rib of beef served directly from the restaurant's famous carving trolleys.

Beverage collection

The extensive beverage list led by general manager and sommelier, Anne Lomas, places emphasis on British gin, beer and wine. The Knight’s Bar at Simpson’s, perfect for a pre- or post-dinner drink, features a unique cocktail list that pays homage to British quirks. Many of the cocktails include Simpson’s London Dry Gin and Old Tom Gin, created specially for the restaurant by the award-winning Blackdown Distillery in West Sussex.

Simpson's Festive Menus

A classic, British Christmas reimagined. Celebrate this festive season at Simpson’s in the Strand.

  • Simpson’s Thanksgiving menu – 23 November. Two courses £45, three courses £55. The turkey is carved at the table, from our famous carving trolleys. Includes a Thanksgiving Martini per person.
  • Simpson’s Christmas Day menu – 25 December (set seating from 12.00pm to 3.45pm). Four course menus, £185 per adult, £85 per child. Includes crackers, Christmas decorations, and gifts.
  • Simpson’s New Year’s Eve Dinner menu – 31 December (set seating from 6pm). Five course set menu. £325 per adult, £148 per child (under 5 year olds free). Includes crackers, Christmas decorations, and live entertainment. 
  • Simpson’s New Year’s Day Brunch menu – 1 January. £120 per person.
