  • Driving from the Jean-Lesage Airport to Fairmont Le Château Frontenac takes approximately 20 minutes. Taxi services available from the airport at a flat rate of $41.40 (day price) and $47.60 (night price - between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.).
  • Via Rail: 0.6 miles (1 km) from the hotel (in Gare du Palais) The Bus Depot is also at the same location. No shuttle service nor locker service. Taxi service is approximately $12 to the station.

    Clients who do not stay at Le Château Frontenac can also benefit from the parking.Entrance is via Mont-Carmel Street and rates are from $6 per half an hour up to $35 per day or $40 per night. Over-sized vehicules and trailers are not accepted in the hotel parking. Maximum height is six feet. For these vehicles, self-parking is available at Parc Victoria (1, rue du Cardinal-Maurice-Roy) or at the Bassin Louise parking lot (320, rue Abraham-Martin).

A dream of a trip

Luxury and comfort within walking distance of the entire city.

My family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids ages 11, 9 and 6) stayed at the Chateau Frontenac for 4 nights in November. My kids loved the elevator and we appreciated the spacious junior suite.

Well located and perfect for families

Had a great time! The staff was amazing and our kids had an amazing time, pool was a bit chilly and wished it was warmer otherwise the staff and accomodation was great! Only request, the cleaning staff should make sure all shampoos and toiletries were filled. We had to ask for more body wash and shampoo during our stay. Also slippers were not in room.

Fairmont standards have clearly slipped

After experiencing Fairmont Hotels through Europe and North America, it is expected that a premium price includes premium benefits. I can understand that following COVID, turndown may not be standard in the industry, but when requested by the Fairmont Royal Service from day one and not receiving it at any point of the 3 night stay is unacceptable (requesting daily). Even the small expectation like drinking water needed to be requested nightly, as housekeeping did not provide with daily service. Robes and slippers (a historical Fairmont standard) needed to be requested by each room of our group. The nightly resort fees provided little benefit as tours and tastings, which we were very interested in, were booked well in advance, although we were told additional tours may be added at the hotel's discretion (this does not help with vacation planning, nor did it happen). Pool use and "free" wifi should be a hotel standard as it is at Holiday Inn.

Wonderful experience!

My husband and I spent Thanksgiving at this beautiful hotel. We were treated wonderfully by every member of the staff we encountered. Thanks go out to Cindy at reception who upgraded us to a beautiful suite with amazing views! We would highly recommend a visit to the most photographed hotel in the world. Now we know why!
