  • Driving from the Jean-Lesage Airport to Fairmont Le Château Frontenac takes approximately 20 minutes. Taxi services available from the airport at a flat rate of $41.40 (day price) and $47.60 (night price - between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.).
  • Via Rail: 0.6 miles (1 km) from the hotel (in Gare du Palais) The Bus Depot is also at the same location. No shuttle service nor locker service. Taxi service is approximately $12 to the station.

    Clients who do not stay at Le Château Frontenac can also benefit from the parking.Entrance is via Mont-Carmel Street and rates are from $6 per half an hour up to $35 per day or $40 per night. Over-sized vehicules and trailers are not accepted in the hotel parking. Maximum height is six feet. For these vehicles, self-parking is available at Parc Victoria (1, rue du Cardinal-Maurice-Roy) or at the Bassin Louise parking lot (320, rue Abraham-Martin).

Somewhat Disappointing

The hotel is iconic and because of that it seemed to attract a lot of people just wanting to eat, drink or hang out in the hotel. It made it difficult for us as guests to enjoy the property and the amenities. We couldn’t really get a drink in the bar because it was packed everyday. The gold level service was good but the food offerings in the lounge were not good. High tea was a MAJOR disappointment. Food was not good at all and felt like it was all prepared days in advance. At $100 per person it was not even close to enjoyable. Rooms are nice. Bathroom was tiny.

Great location

Staff were extremely professional, friendly and welcoming. Lounge was very comfortable and a nice place to retreat to for a coffee or drink. Breakfast was also very enjoyable. After hours dessert was a nice touch.

Junior suite issues. Otherwise, lovely experience.

Downstairs staff was wonderful and so helpful. The chateau is beautiful but the junior suite had a very lumpy uncomfortable sofa bed. There were three of us but turndown staff never left a third bottle of water or slippers-and didn’t turn down one of the nights after it was requested. Otherwise, lovely visit.

great location in old Quebec

beautiful old hotel. room was clean and comfortable. we we on the concierge floor. breakfast was adequate. not sure why it said we would have check in on that floor. check in was so busy in the main lobby. . we were never given the hotel brochure with daily activities. ( very disapointing).

Outstanding.

Our experience was amazing and the hotel staff was so accommodating and lovely. The physical beauty was enticing along with staying in a perfect location. We can't leave out the culinary experience of dining in this remarkable chateau. The food and presentation was 5*.

Great staff, disappointing food and room

Checked in and the guest service person was friendly and helpful. Concierge was helpful registered us for a walking tour but failed to mention it would cost over $30.00. We thought it was complementary bad assumption. Usually if their is a charge someone mentions it.
