Love the gold floor experience with lounge
I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. You are located around all the shops and restaurants. The bars/restaurants in the hotel are top notch. Customer service is fantastic. We have two kids (8,7) and they loved it as well.
I booked my trip in April for my Mom’s birthday in august. Despite booking so far in advance and telling them this is for my Mom’s special birthday and booking three rooms for my family we all got rooms on the 3rd floor facing a brick wall. Two of the rooms were beside each other and the third was so far away despite being assured at the front desk upon check in they were all beside each other. I had to go all the way downstairs and then got the right room key so we were all together side by side. When I checked out after three nights stay the front desk person said I should have asked for a better view. I was so upset he said that. It was as if I should have complained to get a better room. When I booked so far in advance for three rooms and was assured they would make this special for my mom why would they give me the rooms they did? So if I complained I would have got a better view? That does not make sense to me. We also ordered balloons for my mom (again placed the order in April for our stay in august) which no one could find at the Le Sam restaurant and then when they found it they brought it up to the front to find out what table to place it at ruining the surprise for my mom who watched the entire confusion happen. I would have thought they would have had the table with the balloons all set up. I would have expected much more from the fairmount even when you all are busy this should not be the standard.
I enjoyed staying at the hotel. It is beautiful. My only issue was that I arrived at 4:30pm, which is after check in time, and my room was not ready. It took way too long to find me a suitable room, and I was initially sent to a room that was less than what I had reserved. After a long day of travel, and lines at valet and the front desk, the check in ordeal was not appreciated.

You are NOT running a luxury hotel Lame amenities. Poor service. Over priced bland food.

Everybody at the hotel was friendly and really great to us. It was just an issue of everything seemed to be broken while we were there. The pool, the jacuzzi, the steam rooms all weren’t working while we were there. It rained one of the days we were there so those amenities being broken was great. I’m addition, the smoke detector in our room was dangling from the roof when we arrive (I was personally able to fix it). The main bar we had a drink at was wonderful and the gym was nicely done. It was fun to explore the hotel and read about the amenities. The breakfast buffet was very overpriced to be honest but I guess that should be expected. One issue was had was the second night we needed to get our car from the valet for a 6:30 dinner reservation. Earlier in the day, I asked the valet when to call and he said 6:00 to get the car by 6:10. I called at 6:00 and then we waiting until 6:30 to get the car; making us late to our reservation. I’m not sure if there was a lack of staffing or just a mix-up but that was frustrating. The next morning when we checked out at 7:00am, the valet process was much better and our car was waiting 10 minutes after we called. Overall, it was nice to have seen the hotel, the history, and the city but I probably would not recommend it to a friend or return.
The staff and management at the Fairmont are fantastic! They are friendly, helpful, and well-versed in hospitality!
I enjoyed the pool area, amenities and the room service very much.
