Staying Dark in Jasper
We have converted all light fixtures on property to energy efficient bulbs. We have committed to replacing all of our street lights to dark sky certified fixtures, having already converted the area around the Main Lodge.

Dining outlets host candle-lit dining experiences every Earth Hour and Earth Day, and we encourage all our guests to remain energy-conscious at home and in the workplace throughout the year through the Power Down Campaign.
Our sustainable engagements
Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge has increased its growing capacity in the resort’s greenhouse to help reduce food sourcing costs and carbon emissions related to transportation.
Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and its ownership group have identified and invested significant capital resources to remove major fire hazards around the entire property.
Plastic is a major issue in the hospitality industry. Accor acknowledged this issue and all properties have eliminated all non-essential single-use plastic items from the guest experience in 2022. Now, any guest staying at an Accor property can be at ease knowing that their stay does not generate unnecessary plastic waste. All hotels are continuing to phase out single-use plastic items from internal operations until all properties are plastic-free by 2030.
