While travelling from Rochester to Chicago from our daughter’s commencement, we took a detour at Pittsburgh. Fairmont had the largest room for a family of four (~450+ sq ft) and so we took it while driving through Erie. We had stayed a week at Fairmont Dubai and the experience was memorable in many ways- suits, food, lounge service and beach location. Fairmont at Pittsburgh is equally impressive. From its valet to front office, you feel taken care of, in otherwise downtown hustle-bustle. The lobby is amazingly open and spacious. Starbucks is accessible from this lobby. Connor at the checkin found an upgrade to suite on 17th floor and that was truly appreciated. He was quick in checking us in and helping us appreciate package inclusions. Suit had amazing space and one of the best bathrooms we ever saw in US. In its size, amenities and design it reminded me the bathrooms in Dubai and that offered by Leela Palaces & Resorts in India. The suit was spacious, full of necessities and luxurious in its furnishings. I like to travel in car in USA with family as it allows us see America on ground. The bathtub and shower combination at Fairmont was luxurious enough that I took a long 20 min tub bath- almost first for me. It truly helped overcome Driving fatigue. The next morning breakfast at lobby restaurant fl.2 was nice. It started with a bit wait for getting started. A woman employee saw us twice but didn’t come to sit us or even ask to wait. But then another serving staff, Jared (hope got the name correct) saw and came almost running. He explained that they just had a 30 people sitting and so just recorded in from it. Easily understandable. There on Jared went to keep breakfast engaged, flowing and entertaining. The breakfast menu is a decent mix of healthy and traditional offerings. Coffees, ice latte and cappuccino were pretty good. Hats off to Jared for singularity managing almost 6-8 tables while keeping smile and small conversations. Fairmont’s location is pretty nice with famous Incline, ball parks and other attractions near by. Also good restaurants near by for variety. Fairmont made our night pitt-stop at Pittsburgh suddenly very memorable.

From pulling up to valet to check out everything is wonderful. Great staff, that sticks around, polite and willing to serve.

Pleasant stay. Hotel is close to work; very convenient. On par with my stay at the same hotel in 2018. I was disappointed that dry cleaning was not available each weekday through the hotel. I would expect that service from a five-star hotel.

We stayed with you on April 14 and 21. On both occasions the valet service was welcoming and the front desk was pretty good. On the 14th our room had some surpises: the WC vestibule had dust balls and hair ( lots) on the floor. As well the tray for glasses and cups had not been cleaned recently and also had dust balls. This was surprising and not what we expect at a Fairmont property On the 21st, we found an unplugged refrigerator on the floor. It was promptly removed upon request. The glasses on the counter were filthy, a greasy film and dusty. We called down to the restaurant for a reservation. There were not any times available until later. I asked about sitting st the bar and was informed 'it was first come". When we went down 10 minutes later there were 6 seats occupied and room for 30 ?people. Why the hostess would not "sell" when we called was surprising. Why not say there is seating in the bar? The next morning we returned for breakfast. The host (male) was coming from the kitchen area and greeted us while still chewing what he was eating and a had a rather dishevelled appearance. On both occasions the servers we dealt with were very good. Our expectations for a Fairmont stay are that it is welcoming, clean, crisp and comfortable. This was a hit and miss experience.
Relaxing in the middle of the city.
We had a great experience here. Walking distance to the stadiums, staff was so friendly!
I appreciated the free upgrade to a suite. Customer service was great. Room was clean and hotel has great amenities.
We have stayed at the Fairmont many times before although this time I feel like the price for queen beds for one night cost us over $800 and that was not including any room service or anything special but I thought was a little extreme and also a room well it was nice. The garbage cans were full when we came in of garbage not emptied and I’m not sure of the beds were clean, but we still had a good time overall I guess
