What is the Urban Experience Fee? 

A $30 daily urban experience fee (plus tax) will be charged to each room per night. Included in the fee are the following benefits, daily credits cannot be combined during stay:

FOOD & BEVERAGE CREDIT – Enjoy a $15 daily credit towards Toro by Chef Richard Sandoval, The Lobby Bar, or In Room Dining.

LEAF SPA CREDIT – Enjoy a $35 daily credit towards massages, facials, and body treatments in Leaf Spa.

A 1.5% Chicago Tourism Improvement District (CTID) charge is applied to guest room charges. This assessment is calculated on the room rate and also certain related charges such as cancellation or no-show fees and Urban Experience fees.

Fairmont Chicago is a pet friendly hotel in downtown Chicago. Dogs and cats under 40 pounds permitted at the property. Animals must be on a leash at all times and must not be left unattended in the room.

There is a $150 non-refundable room cleaning fee for short-term stays. For stays 7-30 days, the fee is $300. Additional fees will be assessed if there are any damages incurred throughout your stay.

Service dogs are always welcome and exempt of charges. Please email the hotel at chicago@fairmont.com to confirm your pet will be staying with you.

    Yes.  Service animals, which are dogs or miniature horses that have been trained to perform work or tasks for a person with a disability, are welcome.

10. Are guests with service animals limited to pet-only floors?

11. Can service animals be left alone in a hotel room?
    No.  Service animals are working for their owners and need to be with their owners at all times. 
    
    
12. Can a service animal sit on hotel furniture or be fed at food and beverage venue?
    No.
    
    
13. Under what circumstances will a service animal be excluded from a hotel? 
    A hotel will request that a service animal be removed in two situations: (1) the service animal is not housebroken or (2) is out of control and the owner fails to take action to control it.   The guest is welcome to stay without the animal.
    
    
14. What happens if a service animal causes damage to the property?
    The guest will be charged for any damage. 
    
    
15. Is there a cleaning fee for service animals?
    No.  If a service animal causes damage, the guest will be charged for the damage.
    
    
16. Does the hotel allow emotional support animals?
    Emotional support animals are not service animals.  If the hotel allows pets, emotional support animals would be treated as pets and subject to any pet policies.

Yes, Leaf Spa is located on our lower level and features eight spa treatment rooms, including a duet suite with infinity edge soaking tub. Massage, skincare, body treatments, and a nail salon are all available. A visit to Leaf Spa is the perfect way to enjoy some rest and relaxation after a day spent exploring Chicago!
