The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa is the most comprehensive full service, co-ed adult spa in Northern California.

Recommended arrival time is at least 30 minutes prior to your appointment or at least 60 minutes prior to your appointment if you wish to enjoy the Bathing Ritual.  

If you must cancel or change your Spa appointment, please notify The Spa at least 24 hours prior to your appointment time in order to avoid being charged for 100% of the treatment's value.

Fee waived for all Hotel Guests receiving same day Body, Facial and / or Salon treatments.  $39 USD charge for all Hotel Guests wishing to use the Spa facilities without scheduling Spa treatments.

Non-Hotel Premium Fees
Fee waived for Non-Hotel Guests scheduling two or more same day Body, Facial and / or Salon treatments.  (each valued at $39 USD or more)

$39 USD daily charge for all Non-Hotel Guest scheduling less then two or more same day Body, Facial and / or Salon treatments (each valued at $39 USD or more)

$89 USD daily charge for all Non-Hotel Guests wishing to use the Spa facilities without scheduling Spa treatments.

Cancellation / No Show Policy
Cancellations must be made no less then 24 hours prior to treatment reservations or 50% of the treatment cost will be charged.  No Shows will be charged 100% of the treatment cost.  Same day reservations are non-cancelable.

Please note for your convenience an optional 18% service charge will be added to your spa experience.

Enjoy our signature Bathing Ritual which is a self-guided experience. This co-ed Bathing Ritual is beneficial on its own or in combination with any of our fabulous spa treatments and is included with spa access.  Bathing suits are required.

The Bathing Ritual Experience starts with:
Exfoliating Shower - Use the supplied thermal mineral kur shower gel to exfoliate and cleanse your skin.
Warm Bath (Tepiderium) - Ease into the 96-98 degree warm mineral bath.
Hot Bath (Caldarium) - Relax in the 102 degree hot mineral bath with jets.
Re-hydrating Drink - Enjoy a tall glass of water, which is vital for re-hydration.
Cool Shower - Cool your body with a brief shower.
Herbal Steam - Rest in the herbal steam room.
Sauna - Enjoy a few moments in the dry heat of the sauna.
Re-hydrating Drink - Enjoy a tall glass of water, which is vital for re-hydration.

Rest - Recline in the serenity of the relaxation lounge as your body renews and restores.

THE SPA
For hundreds of years, ancient thermal mineral waters have graced this site.  First revered by Native American and early settlers as a bathing ground, the springs gained popularity among San Franciscans in the 1840s, when a bathhouse emerged to shelter the restorative waters. Generations of travelers have visited this site through the years to 'take the waters' and witness its transfer-mation from a rustic bathhouse to a new elegant Spanish-Mission style Inn in 1927.

Today, The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa is proud to be one of the only luxury spa resorts in the country with our own source of thermal mineral water, which flows from 1,100 feet directly beneath the Inn at 135 degrees.

Our Spa pays homage to ancient Egyptian, Greek and Roman civilizations, who believed in the axiom, 'Sanitas Per Aquas', or healing through water.

Enhancing Your Spa Experience
From the moment you begin your Spa experience, we want to ensure your comfort. We have provided a few recommendations to enhance your Spa experience. To preserve the Spa's tranquil environment, we respectfully request that you leave pagers and cell phones turned off. The Spa is a non-smoking environment.

Spa Arrival & Etiquette
Arrival 60-minutes prior to your first scheduled appointment will allow you time to acquaint yourself with the surroundings and decide where you would like to relax once your treatment is complete. Arriving one hour in advance will give you time to experience the Bathing Ritual, and ensure that you will arrive for your appointments on time. All treatments will end on time, regardless of how late the start, so the next guest is not delayed.

Our expert staff would love to assist you in selecting treatments to fulfill your personal requirements. To ensure that your favorite experience will be available when you desire, we suggest you make your appointments prior to your arrival at the Inn. Please note that the minimum age for the Spa Guests is 18 years of age. Our staff would be delighted to answer any questions you may have and customize a unique Spa experience for you!

Spa Facilities
We encourage Guests to enjoy all that our facility offers, including our signature Bathing Ritual, outdoor thermal mineral swimming pool, outdoor thermal mineral Jacuzzis, dedicated Watsu pool, herbal steam room, sauna, indoor lounge with fireplace, outdoor resting loggia and the Spa Café. We also encourage you to take advantage of the Spa's Fitness Center and Studio with a full schedule of fitness and mind/body classes.

Health Concerns
When booking your appointment, please alert us if you have high blood pressure, a heart condition, suffer from allergies or are pregnant. The consumption of alcohol before, during or directly after Spa treatments is not recommended.  For your health, our service providers reserve the right to cease treatment if alcohol is suspected. We recommend that pregnant women enjoy the Spa and avoid treatments using deep pressure, aromatic oils and minerals, as well as treatments or areas that are heat related.

What to Wear
We provide a private locker, plush terrycloth robes, sandals, towels, amenities and hair dryers for all Guests receiving treatments. Many Guests wear their in-room bathrobes when walking to and from the Spa. Please leave all valuables in your in-room safe. The minerals in our water may discolor chemically treated hair, silver jewelry and white bathing suits.  For your comfort, undergarments may be worn during treatments, however we maintain a strict draping policy for your complete privacy. If you plan to work out, bring workout clothes.  A bathing suit is required to use any of our co-ed facilities.

Massage
Massage encourages good health through detoxification, effective circulation and relaxation. Harmony of the body, mind and spirit are balanced by the healing touch of therapeutic massage.

Private Guided Hikes

Enjoy guided historic and scenic walks and hikes to various locations in the picturesque Sonoma Valley. The distance of hikes ranges from two to six miles, accommodating both novice and intermediate levels, and highlights a variety of terrain with beautiful views of vineyards, oak woodlands and redwoods. Drinking water is provided. Appropriate footwear required.

Morning Bike Tours

This 11-mile round trip for the novice rider tours the back roads of the beautiful Sonoma Valley. Ride through Gundlach-Bundschu Vineyards, the oldest operating winery in California. Bikes have packs and water. Helmets are provided and required. Available Monday through Saturday, 8:00a.m. to 10:00a.m. Reservations are required by 8:00 p.m. the prior evening for bike tours.
