The Bengal Lounge
Drawing inspiration from Queen Victoria's role as the Empress of India, this colonial style lounge is known throughout Victoria for its authentic curry buffet and signature martini menu.
Overlooking our stately gardens, the richly appointed Bengal Lounge offers not only a delicious curry lunch and dinner buffet but also an impressive international a la carte menu. Cocktail and martini aficionados will apprecaite our vast selection of signature drinks.
Hours Of Operation:
- Curry Lunch Buffet served daily from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Curry Dinner Buffet served daily from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Death by Chocolate Dessert Buffet available Friday and Saturday nights from 6:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m.
- Live Jazz featured Friday and Saturday nights from 8:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Dress Code:
Smart casual. Walking shorts, jeans that are not ripped or torn and running shoes are allowed. Tank tops, sleeveless shirts, ''short'' shorts or cut-offs are not allowed.
Reservations:
Reservations are available for lunch and can be made by contacting Resort Reservations at (250) 389-2727. Due to the lounge's popularity and limited capacity, reservations are not accepted after 5:00 p.m.
Please Note:
The Bengal Lounge is a licensed establishment. British Columbia licensing laws do not permit guests under 19 years of age to enter the lounge.

Curry Buffet Menu (lunch & dinner):
- Daily selection of vegetarian, mild and hot traditional curries (lamb and chicken)
- Butter chicken

- Basmati rice
- Indian naan bread and pappadums

- Spicy Lentil Soup
- Assorted condiments - mango chutney, coriander chutney, bananas, shaved coconut, raisons, mixed nuts, almonds, tomatoes and onion, ratatouille, riata, pickles, paprika onions, pickled mango, matouks hot sauce, chopped jalapeno peppers
Sample à la carte Menu:
- Seafood Mulligatawny, prawns, scallops, salmon, halibut and mussels in a coconut curry broth
- Spicy Chicken Naan Wrap with curried apples and grapes, raisin & pistachio pilau, lentil soup or salad
- Seared Lemon Grass Baja Scallops with curried apples
- Braised Beef Short Rib, red wine curry and cinnamon oil
- Forbidden Black Rice Pudding served with Saffron & Cardamom Mousse

- Bengal Tiger - our signature cocktail combines Havana Club Rum and apricot brandy with fresh lemonade, pineapple juice and a splash of grenadine
- Chocoholic Martini - An even mix of Godiva White Chocolate liqueur, Disaronno Amaretto and Absolut vanilla
- Peach Mango Lassi - icy blend of peach liqueur, fresh mango, and yogurt
