Guests will be mesmerized as they make their entrance into the Grand Ballroom. An atmosphere of luxury is complemented by the glow of ten grand crystal chandeliers, plush, elegant carpet, and a theater stage draped with ivory velvet curtains. Our ballroom can welcome up to 1000 guests depending on requirements. The Ballroom is located adjacent to the Verchères Room. It can be divided into two sections and the Laval Room sits atop. The Ballroom is our largest function room and is used for general sessions, banquets, balls and other large receptions. The room is surrounded by windows on both sides which provide abundant natural light and views on Place d’Armes park and the hotel’s main entrance. The built-in stage and mezzanine are useful for projections and sound control. Elegant decor and distinguished architecture make this room simply majestic and incomparable.
This room was named in honour of the famous French explorer Jacques Cartier, discoverer of Canada in 1534. The room was renovated by William Maxwell following the hotel fire in 1926. Seven wonderful stained-glass windows, representing historic scenes, complete the room’s decor. With its impressive architecture and style, this room is ideal for big meetings, banquets, receptions and ceremonies. Hand crafted woodwork, fireplace, stained glass and paintings make this luxurious room a unique meeting place. In addition, Jacques-Cartier Room provides a view on the Place d’Armes park and on Dufferin Terrace.
Until 1970, these two rooms served as dining rooms. They were named in honour of Louis de Buade Count of Frontenac and of Palluau (1622-1698), better known by the name of Frontenac. He was the General Governor of New France from 1672 to 1682 and from 1689 to 1698. The Frontenac Room offers an exceptional view over the Old City and St. Lawrence River. The room can be used for banquets, cocktails, receptions and meetings. For larger size groups the Frontenac room can connect to the Petit Frontenac or Verchères Room. Its antique fireplace, many chandeliers, and dark hand crafted woodwork provide for a unique charm. The Petit Frontenac Room resembles the Frontenac Room in architecture and décor with its chandeliers and dark hand crafted woodwork. It can accommodate small meetings, conferences or varied receptions (elevated section). It is also adjacent to the Frontenac and Bellevue rooms for larger meetings and groups. Petit Frontenac offers an impressive view on St. Lawrence River and the Dufferin Terrace.
This room was admirably named, in reason of the incredible view of the river and its banks. Bellevue Room, adjacent to Petit Frontenac Room, is ideal for banquets, large meetings and receptions. Its large windows offer natural light and its fire place and the important presence of woodwork give to this room all the prestigious decor of a unique chateau style.
Le Verchères was originally a Tea Room, then called the Palm Room. The room was renamed Le Verchères in 1949, in honour of Madeleine de Verchères (1678-1747). On October 27, 1692, at the age of 14, Madeleine defended the Verchères fort against an Iroquois attack. The Parisian artist Raoul Barbin painted the decor, inspired by the drawing of William S. Maxwell. Formerly, a tearoom for high society women the room kept its timeless charm. Look up and discover an original painting on the ceiling dating back to 1893.The Verchères Room is a spacious open area ideal for cocktail receptions or setting up registration facilities. The room is located between the Ballroom and the Frontenac Room with windows provide some natural light and a view of the Place d’Armes park.
This room was named because of the view it has on the Place d’Armes Park. Located on the main lobby level, it can be used for banquets, receptions and meetings. This room provides five large windows and its main entrance gives directly onto the main lobby.
Formerly a Tea Room, the Rose Room served for several meetings during the Second World War’s Quebec Conferences in 1943 and 1944. William Lyon Mackenzie King, Prime Minister of Canada, played host to these historic meetings, welcoming the British Prime Minister, Sir Winston Churchill, and US President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Its amazing roundness and pink wall colour, two fire places and large windows make the Rose Room a majestic place for cocktails, receptions, weddings and banquets. In addition, the room offers a panoramic view on the Saint-Lawrence River and the Dufferin Terrace.
Saint-Louis Room offers a view on the hotel’s main entrance and it can be divided into four sections. It can be used for meetings, banquets, and cocktails. Hand painted moldings appear on the walls and the day light gives to the room a cozy and relaxed ambience.
