Our Castle opens up its doors to celebrate your special day! Once upon a time, there was a Loire Style inspired castle perched atop of a steep cliff overlooking a majestic river... Since it's grand opening in 1893, the prestigious Fairmont Le Château Frontenac graces one of the most romantic cities in the world. Nestled in the heart of Old Québec City, it has been the scene of many love stories. Couples and their guests come from everywhere to celebrate weddings in a picturesque setting of classic romanticism.
Guests will be mesmerized as they make their entrance into the Grand Ballroom. An atmosphere of luxury is complemented by the glow of ten grand crystal chandeliers, plush, elegant carpet, and a theater stage draped with ivory velvet curtains. Our ballroom can welcome up to 1000 guests depending on requirements. The Ballroom is located adjacent to the Verchères Room. It can be divided into two sections and the Laval Room sits atop. The Ballroom is our largest function room and is used for general sessions, banquets, balls and other large receptions. The room is surrounded by windows on both sides which provide abundant natural light and views on Place d’Armes park and the hotel’s main entrance. The built-in stage and mezzanine are useful for projections and sound control. Elegant decor and distinguished architecture make this room simply majestic and incomparable.
Formerly a Tea Room, the Rose Room served for several meetings during the Second World War’s Quebec Conferences in 1943 and 1944. William Lyon Mackenzie King, Prime Minister of Canada, played host to these historic meetings, welcoming the British Prime Minister, Sir Winston Churchill, and US President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Its amazing roundness and pink wall colour, two fire places and large windows make the Rose Room a majestic place for cocktails, receptions, weddings and banquets. In addition, the room offers a panoramic view on the Saint-Lawrence River and the Dufferin Terrace.
Fairmont Le Château Frontenac is now offering a new exclusive banquet room with gorgeous décor, reminiscent of the finest wine cellars in the world. The «Cellier du Château» (Cellar of the Château) is the ideal venue for special events like banquets, dinners, weddings, receptions and cocktails. The location is convenient with direct street access and valet service readily available. In order to leverage the expertise of the Chateau Frontenac Sommeliers, wine themes and food and wine pairing menus were developed so customers can discover the world of wines in many different ways.
