The Fairmont Heritage Place, Franz Klammer Lodge is perched above a glacially carved valley surrounded by the peaks of the San Juan Mountains of Southwest Colorado. Opened in 1996 as Colorado's first private residence club, the Lodge has become the benchmark for today's growing number of exclusive fractional properties. Named after the legendary Austrian skiing star, this 63-home slope-side property is located at nearly 10,000 feet in the midst of the Telluride Ski Resort.
Recognized for its breathtaking beauty and natural resources, the region was first inhabited by Native Americans hundreds of years ago. Telluride was founded as a mining town in the 1870s and is now known for its preserved Victorian charm and listing as a National Historic District. Nestled at the end of a box canyon discovered by miners in the late 1800s, Telluride is truly an exquisite gem recalling the intimacy of its Victorian roots and the legacy of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. In today's modern world, the Telluride community also boasts extraordinary restaurants, day spas, cultural opportunities, and hosts many exciting summer festivals and events.

Telluride Destination Guide
Telluride Ski Resort offers excellent terrain in a spectacular setting and has been recognized as the #1 ski area in North America. Other winter activities include snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ice climbing, and dog sledding. In summer the mountains burst into bloom with wildflowers, creating the perfect backdrop for hiking, four-wheeling, jeeping, river rafting, biking, mountain climbing and fishing gold medal rivers.
While sightseeing opportunities abound in the area, the most beautiful sights are right outside. Photographers frequent Telluride to take advantage of the incredible scenery, with 14,000 foot snowcapped peaks, a valley floor blanketed in summer wildflowers, and herds of elk and deer populating the area. For a more intimate experience of Telluride's natural beauty, activities like hiking and horseback riding offer some of the best views in Colorado, and jeep tours through the Uncompaghre and San Juan National Forests visit old mining ruins, historic ghost towns, and elevations with panoramic views of Southwest Colorado stretching all the way to Utah.
