The Willow Stream Spa at The Fairmont Empress is ranked as one of the top spas in Canada by Condé Nast Traveller and is one of the most popular Vancouver Island spas. We are located just past the lobby in the beautiful Fairmont Empress. A second entrance is located on Humbolt Street.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
Please arrive at least 30 to 45 minutes prior to your appointment time to complete a medical history form, change into your robe, and unwind in our lounge.
THE SPA RITUAL
All guests may enjoy our Spa Ritual - a Finnish Steam Room, detoxifying hot Sauna, and soothing Hungarian Thermal Mineral Bath. This experience is recommended prior to any spa treatment to prepare the body for total relaxation and nourishment, or to relax the body after exercise. The Spa Ritual is complimentary with every treatment. We suggest 5 minutes in the Sauna, 5 minutes in the Steam Room, 10 minutes in the Thermal Mineral Bath, and a 10 minute rest in our soothing lounge.

GIFT CERTIFICATES
Beautifully designed and presented, gift certificates are available for spa packages or in predetermined denominations and available at our reception or by calling directly. We also have a variety of all natural Willow Stream Spa signature products available for purchase - ideal for every home care program.
OUR SPA ENVIRONMENT
The Willow Stream Spa is an adult sanctuary. Minimum age is 18 years old, guests 16-18 must be accompanied by an adult. Cell phones, Blackberry or other electronic devices are not permitted in order to keep the spa area quiet and to protect your privacy.
DRESS CODE
Guests receive a Willow Stream robe and slippers to wear between treatments and a locker for your personal belongings. For your comfort, undergarments may be worn during treatments; our therapists are highly trained in correct draping procedures for complete privacy. Swimsuits are required for the Thermal Spa Ritual.
HEALTH CLUB
The Fairmont Empress Health Club is open seven days a week 24 hours a day and includes the following:
- Indoor heated swimming pool open 5:00am - 1:00am
- Indoor whirlpool
- Children's wading pool
- Saunas (two)
- Men's and women's change rooms
- Fitness Center with:
- Rowing machines
- Stair climber
- Elliptical trainer
- Stationary bikes
- Treadmills
Health Club access is complimentary to registered guests only. Children 15 and under are not permitted in the Fitness Center. Adult supervision is required in the Fitness Center for guests between the ages of 16 and 18 and in the pool area for children of all ages. The Health Club is not staffed.
