Babysitting

While you are enjoying all that The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise has to offer, qualified and reliable babysitters are available to provide childcare.   All our sitters have been carefully screened and undergone the Royal Canadian Mounted Police security check.

  • 24-hour notice to Royal Service is required please call (403) 522-3511 to guarantee a babysitter               
  • 24-cancellation policy in effect. Three hour penalty in place if cancelled prior to this time               
  • More than four children require two sitters               
  • Rates are 14.00/hour up to two children, $15.00 for three and $16.00/hour for four children.

Children's Playroom
In this room, imagination takes flight. This is a place for children to get away from the parents and have fun making crafts, playing games, watch a movie or hang out on our climbing wall.  You must be at least three years old or at least potty trained to be left alone in this staff supervised room.  A nominal fee applies.  Open seven days a week during ski season only.

Hours of Operation:
Monday - Friday 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Saturday - Sunday 10:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.


Bell Desk

The Bell Desk is located at the main entrance of the hotel.  Service is available 24-hours-a-day. Guest Services will be happy to assist you with baggage and luggage storage.


Check-In / Check-Out

Check-in time is 4:00 p.m.
Check-out time is 12:00 p.m.


Concierge

The Concierge Desk is located in the Main Lobby. Our Concierge can assist you with dinner reservations, activity bookings, transportation and directions to major attractions in the area.


Elevators

The hotel has nine guest elevators for your convenience.


Gift Shop

The hotel offers an extensive selection of specialty shops showcasing custom hotel merchandise featuring the history of CP Rail, Canadian Native Indian and Inuit art, fashions woven from the famous Canadian Arctic Muskox,  beautifully crafted jewelry and watches, designer leather goods, quality brand name outerwear and casual clothing, candy and maple products, plus a wide selection of books, posters and gifts that capture our heritage. Housekeeping

Our Housekeeping team will provide extra amenities such as cribs and cots as requested and also handle all requests for lost & found items.


Laundry Services

Same day dry-cleaning service is available to our guests. Dry-cleaning is picked up daily by 8:00 a.m. to be returned to your room for 7:00 p.m. nightly.


Parking

The hotel is connected to a covered parkade. Valet and Self-parking is available to our guests. Valet at a daily rate of $35 with unlimited access.   Self parking rate is $25 per day.


Pet Policy

Seeing-Eye dogs are welcome at no charge.  Small and well-behaved pets under 20 lbs. are permitted in the hotel at a charge of $25 daily. Your pet is welcomed and registered upon check-in. You will be given a pet pack with a gift and guidelines for your pet. Animals are to be supervised and on a leash at all times. Pet-sitting services are available through Royal Service.


Ski Storage

The hotel is pleased to provide ski storage at the Bell Desk. The Guest Services team will be glad to assist you.  Skis are not permitted on guest floors or within your guest room.


Wheelchair Accessibility

Special needs accommodation is available on a request  basis.  Please contact the hotel in advance to confirm due to limited inventory.  Ramps are located throughout the hotel, with the exception of the pool. Designated parking stalls are also available in close proximity to the doors. Limited number of wheelchairs and portable equipment is available by request through Royal Service.

The hotel has two types of accommodation:

Eased access rooms:

  • Large entry door frames        
  • Lower peep holes        
  • Flashing Fire light in room        
  • All doors swing into the room not the bathroom        
  • Roll in bathroom vanity        
  • Basins have open grid strainers without mechanical pop-up        
  • Faucets are two - handled levers        
  • Additional grab bars        
  • Raised toilet seats        
  • Portable equipment available upon request        
  • Additional information within the guest directory - persons with disability tab


Persons with disabilities rooms include all of the above equipment and services plus:

  • Automatic entry door opener       
  • Roll in shower       
  • Sliding bar shower       
  • Space throughout the room that allows for a full wheelchair turning radius
