This is an incredibly nice hotel but it was the service that made our stay memorable! Erin, Nikki and a young gentleman (sorry I forgot his name but he has been with the company for a year and was with Marriott for 4 years previously) were customer service experts! I want to come back
Everything was good EXCEPT I was told that there was a Sunday brunch..NOT..then I was told it was a buffet..NOT..it was pick from menu..food was good..but thats not what I was told..maybe you should instruct your employees better
The bed was not as comfortable as I expected for this class of hotel. I called for an extra blanket so that I could lay on sofa watching TV. 35 minutes later, I called again with my request. 20 minutes after my 2nd request, a woman arrived with two comforters, not a blanket. They were wadded up and not folded so, I looked to be sure they were clean. One comforter had a very large urine stain which appeared to be a fresh stain. It would seem that I was given comforters that were not laundered. My reason for giving your hotel a 9 rather than a 1, is because your daytime front desk staff and door staff were such kind and professional people, I could not bring myself to disregard their expert care. Having said this, the night staff responsible for the treatment I received should be terminated. What they did was unkind, unprofessional, & unsanitary. Others might have taken this much farther. I offered to come down and retrieve my own blanket so, if my request offended them it shouldn’t have. Frankly, I don’t know the last time I stayed where the extra blanket wasn’t with the extra pillow in the hall closet. The room I was in at your hotel had a pillow, but not a blanket. Room service food was good, but the potato was undercooked. Steak was perfect.
Room was clean and stay was good - just a few issues. The door was not closing/latching properly - I reported and it was fixed promptly. The toilet in my room 1419 worked okay but made some really strange noises (you may want to take a look at that). I was a little disappointed you no longer have a refrigerator in the room. My neighbors in the suite next door were noisy (lots of slamming doors late at night) but that was not your fault. Overall I really like the Fairmont and will continue to stay there in the future. Thanks!

Although we received prior notice that our upper level room would not be ready, we did not expect it would be a 3+hour wait. We were not able to change for our evening out in Pittsburgh. Once the room was ready our luggage was place in another room which we had to hunt down with the desk. Lastly, the elevator software shut down and we had to take the freight elevator to get to our room around midnight. There were so many apologies that at one point sincerity was lost. I must say that the valet parking and attendant was most helpful and once we had access to our room it was appointed nicely.

It's the best hotel in Pittsburgh! Good spa and health club. The restaurant has a limited breakfast menu, but it is adequate. The server was very good. The room was smallish but nice.

The always good stuff and reason for returning: front desk staff and the bar at Fl.2 is always amazing. I stay here maybe 5x a year and there is always an issue with the room on top of it just being old. Last time, the sink was moldy. This time the electrical outlet in the bathroom didn't work so I had to blowdry my hair at the desk area. I have also emailed a few times for my folio as well as requested online and have yet to receive it, which is very inconvenient. Next trip to PGH I'm switching to the Hilton around the corner to see how it is.
