NEW! Giovane Wine Bar
Giovane Café is already a local daytime favourite for signature roasted coffee, decadent pastries and savoury lunchtime fare. This past July 4, the second incarnation of Giovane launched with the transformation of a bustling daytime café to a sophisticated and sexy Italian wine bar by night. As the lights go down, candles will be lit, table service begins and an Italy-inspired wine bar menu takes centre stage.

Giovane is a lively, sophisticated and eclectic cafe + bakery + deli in Fairmont Pacific Rim. Giovane is filled with light and air from a sparkling wall of drop-down windows. There is seating for 41 – several high stools face the street for people-watching and views, and there are low-slung cafe chairs to relax in. Giovane is uniquely and independently branded from the rest of the hotel – it has all the characteristics of a stand-alone Italian cafe that happens to be located in the remarkable Coal Harbour. We are licensed to serve, too!
Giovane is the place to experience coffee utopia. Our baristas take their coffee seriously, with an almost single-minded aim in serving an excellent cup of coffee. To accompany the coffee, we bake everyday – pastries, sweet, breads and cakes. In addition to seriously qualified coffee, giovane offers a selection of perfectly delicious deli sandwiches and pizzas, superb house-baked pastries and scrumptious, signature cakes. Our merchandise wall is unique and unparalleled, filled with one-of-a-kind items, beautiful hardcover books, glossy magazines and local and international newspapers.
Cafe
We are serious about our brews - from our own locally roasted coffee by 49th Parallel Coffee Roasters to our locally brewed beer. We are inspired by the passionate individuals in the coffee world. It is important that our guests feel at home in Giovane. We have created a friendly place that smells of fresh coffee and fresh baking.
Bakery
Giovane bakery is mecca. We bake everyday. In the morning, it’s breakfast pastries, muffins, scones, breads and cookies. In the afternoon, we fill our ovens with cakes, tarts and more bread. Our cakes have been created and designed for maximum scrumptiousness. Our cakes boxes have been created and designed for maximum chic. They are tied with a superbly accessorized ribbon and fit perfectly in to their tailored shopping bag.
Deli
Giovane offers a concise selection of charcuterie, cheese, sandwiches, pizzas, and salads and hot comfort classics. Our sandwiches are built with our own house-baked breads and filled with classic combinations.
Catering/Gourmet delivered
Giovane café + deli now brings the best of our Italian-inspired menu to you via their Vespa delivery service. Featuring sandwiches served on house-made bread, salads, and delectable pastries and desserts. Order online or by phone for your next office lunch.
Merchandise
In addition to an extraordinary cafe + deli + bakery, Giovane also offers some unique and one-of-a-kind merchandise. A lot of the products are made by talented Vancouverites, and are not typically found in many stores, let alone in a hotel. There are a number of Canadian-made items, as well as a select few items from Japan and Denmark. The criteria used for selecting items for the wall was this: items that either reflect character and/or are locally authentic. Given the exceptional space and design of Giovane, there are a many items, such as books and products that, in themselves, reflect or portray exceptional design qualities. Our single-minded aim in producing excellent coffee was inspiration to offer our coffee beans for sale. As well, some very interesting products from Japan with which to brew at home.
