Palau de Congressos de Catalunya

The Palau de Congressos de Catalunya is located in the prestigious Avenida Diagonal of Barcelona, the most important financial and business area of the city. The building and the Fairmont Rey Juan Carlos I are both part of the most spectacular Business and City Resort of Barcelona and are surrounded by some of the most breathtaking gardens in the City. The entire hotel complex is one of the most outstanding urban settings in the world.

The building itself is a symbol of contemporary Barcelona. It was designed by the architects Ferrater and Cartañá and received the National Architecture Prize in 2001. The complex is made up of several adjoining buildings, which together provide great functionality and versatility, where natural light is the main feature.

The Palau de Congressos de Catalunya has 39 rooms and halls of varying sizes. The grandiose Auditorium can hold more than 2,000. The maximum exhibition space is over 4,000m² with a capacity for banquets catering for up to 3,000 diners. The Palau de Congressos de Catalunya, with more than 30 function rooms and auditoriums for every class of event is characterized by the two spacious exhibition areas.

The lower ground floor is characterized by the versatility and functionality of its conference rooms, which can be completely adapted in order to cater to the specific requirements of the client.
The most important areas here are the Multi-purpose Room and the Forum Room, which practically takes up the entire floor. The Hall, also a wide-open space, is perfectly suited for holding exhibitions, cocktail receptions and coffee breaks. This floor houses the majority of the conference rooms and with direct access to the gardens, the possibilities for organizing a wide range of events are greatly increased.

This level is where the main entrance is located which opens directly onto the Great Hall. From here there is direct access to the Foyer of the Auditorium, the Auditorium itself, and the Exhibition Hall, which are the main areas on this floor. The association and union of spacious areas is what gives the building its unique personality.

This floor contains the press room, the Executive Hall and the continuation of the Foyer.

This is the uppermost floor of the Auditorium and from here you can gain access to the amphitheater and the changing rooms.
