This is our preferred place to stay when in DC.
Everyone was very nice & helpful! The room was comfortable & clean. We had a great stay.

1. We left the room around 12 PM, removed the "privacy" sign, and returned around 4 PM to find that the room had not been serviced. 2. on subsequent days housekeeping failed to replenish the toilet tissue and the facial tissue. The tea bags were only replenished after I requested them. 3. A new laiundry bag was supplied, but no laundry list form was provided. 4. When my husband asked to be connected to the hotel manager he was essentially given the run around (not available, will call you back). Eventually Aaron Banks suggested that we meet for breakfast at 9:30 AM, We agreed, but he never showed up.
Family long weekend to see DC for the first time
our only issue was we checked in at 6:30pm and our room not ready, waited another 40 minutes and finally the manager found us a room. we were not the only ones, as other guests seem to be experiencing the same thing.
Upon checking in I asked as I always do whether courtesy access to Gold Club was possible. Chief reception desk person explained that our Fairmont status did not qualify for access. Which I accepted. Although I was surprised since I have highest status at Marriott Bonvoy, IHG (Intercontinental Hotels) and at Hyatt. After we checked into our Ambassador suite were surprised that two persons (presumably hotel staff ) just entered the suite without knocking on door. They did withdraw immediately without any apology. Maybe 5 minutes later door opened again without knocking and the person asked if she could pick up laundry. On another day we returned to the suite after dinner and discovered that room was not serviced since we left hotel at 10:30am. On another day laundry was returned but no blank laundry form was left. I have communicated with Aaron Banks who eventually expressed my concern and offered to meet with mme. Needless to say we never met and I became extremely frustrated. On the day before departing hotel wecane for breakfast and noticed a waiting line of 14 guests. Most tables were available. But the staff person has weir routine that involves greeting the guest, verifying room number, picking up the menues and slowly walking into dining room to seat the guests. I timed this process and on average it took 5.5 minutes. That means that we would have to waite one hour to be seated. We chose to go accross the street and have breakfast at the Park Hyatt. My multiple requests to meet hotel manager were simply ignored at every stage. Sorry but as loyal Fairmonnt guests and owners at FKL Telluride, I felt that the hotel has serious operational problemes of no interest to top management.
