It's a lovely hotel and I am satisfied with my stay, however, there is room for improvement. Namely: - The pillows & bedding feel cheap for a 4/5 star hotel. The pillows were uncomfortable. the comforter was thin, and the sheets were not very soft. A 4/5 star hotel should be able to deliver a higher quality of bedding than what I can afford on my very modest earnings - The iron and ironing board were also subpar for a 4/5 star hotel. The iron was a cheap 'sunbeam' model that you can buy at a dollar store. It was ineffective at ironing my shirt. Similarly, the ironing board wasn't properly padded, such that the iron ironed unevenly. Ironing my shirts and pants is the first thing I do when I travel, given that I want to look my best. These might not be the most in demand items at a hotel, but for guests traveling on business, they're essential - Providing guests with, at a minimum, two bottles of bottled water per day, or (better still) a Brita filter water jug, ought to be a bare minimum, particularly in a hotel that's actively working on its plumbing and whose faucets produce an unappetizing milky looking water - There seemed to be plumbing problems in room 319: the toilet clogged, the shower drain backed up while I was showering, and the toilet gurgled when I turned the shower on - The food was delicious but the portions were far too small for the price - Given the cost of the room, and the evident desire for repeat business, some kind of freebie welcome basket with snacks, soft drinks, fruit, nuts (etc) would have been a nice touch. Similarly, at this price point at least a continental breakfast option ought to have been included

We decided to stay here as we usually stay at westin bc of the municipal grass in front and your marketing on your site showing dogs in the back section. We have a older dog that can only walk short distances so we thought this would be good only to fi d out no dogs allowed in back and of course many homeless out in front. get rid of online pictures if dogs not allowed on grass property in back as misleading..Rooms nice but ac didn't work we found this out 5 hours later. asked to move at 1am and moved to another room. Ac didn't work in this room. 130 am. manager was very good but we were very tired and irritated..took me.to third room ac worked but with 2 dogs exhausted and almost 2am we stayed in room 25 degrees and asked for fans to try to keep.cool.and more importantly keep dogs cool. We got 4 fans cheap kind that hardly stand but made it work. We were comped valet which appreciated but overall exhausted tired and paid for a room that was a miserable experience then had to drive 5 hours to fort mcmurray overtired.
wonderful stay, excellent service, and honest, helpful staff. Highly recommend!
