The hotel is a little run down in places and needs some attention to detail but the staff make up for this with their friendliness and 100% effort to look after you throughout your stay thank you to Nicole and another girl who worked along side her and worked their socks off every day delivery food and drink from the bar and to Rolston one of the newer butlers who couldn’t do enough for us and made our anniversary very special. The room was beautiful and modern, the hotel is located so close to many restaurants you are spoilt for choice. The sea is out of a film so blue and safe.
Very relaxing, high quality. Nothing was too much trouble.

Only a night but felt like a real holiday. Rooms large, beautiful and well appointed.

I loved parts of our stay with you but some elements were not up to scratch. I hope the feedback helps. Wonderful: the staff’s friendly caring attitude - they simply couldn’t do enough!; guest services in terms of our questions over many months beforehand; our lovely garden villa itself; the beach set up; cleanliness throughout; breakfast in Palm Terrace restaurant; complimentary afternoon tea! Could be improved: the complimentary butler service was nice but we didn’t really know how to use it. My suggestion would be for the butler that welcomes the guests to give them the butler mobile that we discovered existed only on our penultimate day and suggest guests use WhatsApp for any butler requests. And suggest what other guests have requested in the past. Awful I’m afraid: we arrived on Easter weekend and our welcome drinks took over half an hour; drinks in the Taboras that evening took half an hour and the food over an hour. We went out of the hotel for dinner every night for the rest of the holiday because we didn’t want similar to happen again. Breakfast the next morning was also in Taboras when Palm Terrace was closed and there were long queues. In the end, we seated ourselves and helped ourselves to cutlery and breakfast.

Stayed many times at Royal Pavilion so the fact we are returning says everything

The hotel, infrastructure and beach location are excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. The service and food at dinner time in the palm terrace was of a high standard. Room for improvement at lunch in the Taboras - the waiting time to take orders and deliver them is too long. Several tables are located with the sun impacting on some of those seated; this makes the experience unpleasant.
The hotel is not a 5* offering. It is worn, cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Our wardrobe had a damp issue and all clothes stored there smelled when we took them out to wear them. The food is terrible and I would question the hygiene standards of any hotel that thinks poaching eggs in the same pot as an egg being boiled is ok. It is severely overpriced for a hotel that has a substandard offering in all aspects - pool, gym, activities. You constantly had to keeping asking for towels like they were a valued commodity (in a beach resort !!). It was a terrible experience that I hope we never have to repeat. We left early as we ALL became ill. The hotel didn’t care. Happy to take (a lot) of money for nothing. Avoid staying here at all costs.
